GAME #26: Gophers (16-9, 5-7) @ Northwestern (12-13, 5-7) [BTN, 5:00PM]

Perhaps it is because the only thing I can do remotely well in basketball is shoot, but I don't understand how college and pro players are not better free throw shooters.

If King could put on 20 pounds, with most being muscle, he'd be a pretty solid PF. But as is, he's more of a SF without perimeter skills.

Shooting free throws in practice is much different then in a game, even at a place like NW. I would bet most guys can shoot 70 or 80 percent in practice pretty consistently.

I don't know how Collins or Cobb can complain about that call. You can't put your hand on the chest of a guy who is going by you.

No doubt there's something to be said for that. That said, free throws are in large part muscle memory and concentration. I really think the 80% range should be the norm. Easy to say from my couch, I know.

King literally straight up and down. Not a foul.

Not even attempting to pick the ball up when it was on the ground is a perfect example of why we are terrible at getting loose balls.

They are even harder to make sitting down.

After the 1st NW game and Purdue, we're due for some good luck.
