Well, Pitino is saying what he needs to say publicly, but we're not idiots. With Walker suspended the Gophers are only dressing 11 scholarship players, two of whom are freshmen and look lost. If it was a really bad insubordination thing like yelling in practice I would think he would have been suspended for a game or two, probably about role on the team but what are you going to do cut the playing time of Austin or Dre Hollins, I don't think he is big enough to play the 4, it's pretty much a no brainer in my mind, he will be a role player this year.
 

Pretty excited for a great night of college basketball. I'll have the Gophers on the laptop and the two top 5 matchups on tv.
 


So tonight on All Access - I would guess that we will we get the Aggie Vision type play-by-play? Something is better than nothing I guess. Montana is a decent team - too bad that the BTN didn't see it that way.

You could always watch on all access and listen to the radio stream, try to match em up
 

That's true - hadn't thought of that. Just have to find a radio or an old tuner..if I can't turn off the audio from All Access.

All-Access is pretty bad but it's at least different than AggieVision because the announcers are relatively knowledgeable about the U's program and the team. I think they are students actually.
 

Can deal with bad audio/student productions - just give us good video - in lieu of no BTN coverage. Looks like the BTN has Indiana and Ohio State on their network tonight. Why can't they show more games with their 'extra' channels? Like they said they would. According to the BTN schedule, just one more game (Richmond) not on the BTN, then we are good.

Looks like game on 12/7 vs New Orleans is on espn3
 

Wow, it's so refreshing to have a PG who gets into the lane against a zone and kicks it out for a open 3.
 

The Dre's are a combined 3-3 from deep, Gophers up 11-3.
 

For those who are interested game is now up on first row.
 





It's crazy to see how high Dre Mathieu gets up for his 3s. I always thought Rodney jumped too high for his own good when shooting, but it doesn't seem to be affecting Dre too much right now.
 

Pitino's system is tailor-made to overwhelm lesser opponents, I can't wait to see how effective our press is against better teams.
 


Seems like we'll bee seeing King and Oto on the court together quite a bit with Mo out.
 

That feel when internet too slow to stream first row stream. Damn you cheap motel.

Edit: And before Malik Smith for that matter.
 

Ugh....Joey King needs to not foul. That was two and now we are even thinner up front. Now we test the theory of whether Wally is in the dog house or not...
 

Mathieu is doing a really good job at getting to the rim this game.
 

How do redshirts work in college basketball? Can you play some games and still get a redshirt? Or does this mean we won't be reshirting McNeil?
 


Hope Vaughn is watching Lil Dre drive and kick. He want shots from the two...he'll get them!
 

I've seen nothing (other than a couple instances in the press) that shows me Malik is ready for B1G basketball. Not trying to be negative, this is just how he has played to me. Sure, maybe he can heat up and get it going. But so far it's been somewhat of a headache watching his shooting dip to the level of the current temperature. (it's going to get colder, too... )

Yeah, he needs to give 110% effort in everthing other than shooting AND learn to become just a spot up situational shooter. He is not good enough for heat checks every game.
 

This team's outlook would be much, much worse if we didn't sign Mathieu.
