Game #1: Gophers v. Lehigh (ESPN3, 7:00 PM)

It does come in handy. Just don't click on any ads. I have been told it can lead to problems you don't want

Even if you don't click on ads, safer to run your anti-virus program after and check whether your default settings are still in place. A Trojan after the Indiana game...

...not that Trojan Doc :p

If it ain't about beer, I don't wanna hear it, apana. :)

Not a bad start, it almost took the Reid Travis bad taste out of my mouth. If we beat PSU tomorrow then I'll officially be back to my optimistic self.

Elliot and King will be great for us this year and beyond. Smith is streaky. Hollins Squared is solid. Little Dre definitely likes to pass more, hope he gets more comfortable as the season goes on. Oto has a bit more confidence this year. King is the Oto we wish we had gotten. Most impressed with King though!

King scoring 20 is incredibly encouraging. Between Dre, Austin, Mathieu, and King we should have some decent scoring.

I thought the final 10 minutes was horrible. Hopefully, this is just first game jitters because Lehigh is terrible.

Elliott looked good tonight, a little more confident in scoring opportunities and a little more active than I have seen him in the past. Mathieu was very important on the defensive end (it would be nice to have another player with his type of speed on the team, preferably a wing guy) and seems comfortable handling the ball. The only negative with Mathieu that I noticed was that his size showed up as a limiting factor even against a team like Lehigh. Joey King King clearly knows how to play the game, it will be interesting to see how he fairs against B1G level forwards which was always the main question with him. I liked the early hot start from Oto, and was glad to see Malik Smith finally make a couple shots in the waning moments of the game.

Overall, it was refreshing to not see the line changes and to see players comfortably taking the first open shot available. The Gophers didn't shoot very well from the perimeter tonight which they will have to do to have success against better competition. Defensively, I like the press, but it's clear we don't have the type of roster composition to use it effectively all the time.

One other note: I don't believe McNeil played is a red shirt being considered?

Anybody else think Joey King is essentially a rich man's Mike Bruesewitz?

No. I like you as a poster, but I don't see any similarities at all. Different styles i.e. muscle vs finesse, different mentalities i.e. team vs gunner.

I find them to be similar players in that they are/were both tweener forwards that could shoot the 3 pretty well in addition to being good all around players. Bruiser was more of a defensive/glue/hustle guy and King is more of a polished offensive threat.

How refreshing to watch a offense that atleast looks like they know what they are doing instead of standing around.... How refreshing to see and up and down game... changing defenses... subbing one guy or 2 guys out of a time not 5 at a time... pretty cool seeing OTO with confidence we have never seen before... This will be a solid team not great because the lack of bigs but very solid... Nice to see alittle scoring out of everyone position on the floor.. u get a B+ tonight

Brusewitz is a grinder and could rebound. King is a better scorer but needs to play less soft.

Plus Brusewitz looks like Ronald McDonald.
