Dumb ass Larry Fitzgerald on Almanac

Good enough for me means a national championship every year. Since I know that's not realistic here on planet Earth, good enough by Gophers standards means a coach who gets good results by the historical standards of his school. Winning national titles and 500+ games with several deep Tournament runs buys a pretty long rope from me. Further, I really have trouble with firing a coach coming off his best season and the school's best season in 23 years. Why is everyone finding it so hard to procure another example of a coach being fired immediately upon gaining a Tournament victory for his school for the first time in decades? Such terrible coaches should get fired all the time.

Some of us dare to dream without being shackled to comfortable anchor of the past. Glad you are hanging your hat on slinking into the tourney and beating the most dis-functional, uninterested team in the tourney.

I'll bet Wisconsin fans are happy they got away from their not-so-good history about 20 years ago.

So you'd rather not get into the tourney at all? Or is it that you'd rather go another 23 years without a tourney victory?

You don't need to discuss him, nor does anyone want you to discuss him. What exactly do you get out of it? We've read your same arguments a million times, and you certainly aren't changing anyone's opinions. I honestly don't get it if your statements below are true.

I'm not a Tubby fan. I would prefer that we didn't discuss Tubby at all.

If other people are going to bash him, I'm going to step in to defend him. The funny part is that people tell me to stop talking about him (like you just did), and yet the next thread/discussion I start about Tubby will be the first.

I never told you to not discuss him. You really didn't address anything I said. If you...
1) aren't a fan of Tubby
2) don't like talking about him
3) nobody else likes you talking about him
4) have argued the same points a million times
5) are never going to change anyone's opinion of him
...then why on earth do you feel the need to step in to defend him so damn often? I honestly can't think of an explanation that makes any sense if all 5 of those points are true.
