Really? That's highly unusual. So much so that I don't think I've ever seen it.

Basketball has a shot clock. If the end of your bench hits shots without plays called for them, it's just offense. There's nothing classless about it. I know it's hard to be unbiased after a game like that, but yeesh.

The Gophers had already conceded defeat. They were hardly playing defense. Most classy teams with an ounce of sportmanship (and this lands on the HC) will run the clock out.

I'm not telling you how to feel about that loss. It was obviously a tough one. I'm not beating my chest. Just defending the Badgers against what I think are hollow complaints.

Why would your players stop playing? That has nothing to do with class. It's odd to me that you're fixating on Jordan Hill hitting a jump shot.
 



Why the hell do rival posters feel it necessary to troll other team's boards? Nothing screams "I'm a loser" than wasting time trolling message boards.

There was a 2 second differential. You hold the ball, take the violation and hand it to the other team. Teams do it every day. Those with an ounce of class that is. But, you @sshats don't even know not to go for 2 up 20 points in a football game either, so we shouldn't expect an ounce of class from you.

I actually saw someone on Twitter talking about how Goldy was a finalist for Nigel Hayes. I came over here to see if you were talking about him at all, as it was the first I'd heard that, and found this gem of a thread. I don't blame you for coming here. If one of the main topics of conversation on MY board was the genetic advantages of African American basketball players being spearheaded by a poster named ConfederateBadger, I'd be looking for a new postgame discussion environment as well.

The user name was registered in 2009. Amazing he waited until now to weigh in. I don't know about you, but I usually forget usernames and passwords after that length of time. He most likely spends a lot of time here obsessing about what Gopher fans are saying.
 


Funny thing.. I went to their board and one poster said Pitino looked like a ferret face. What the hell? Have they never watched their slacked jawed grinch looking coach on the sidelines almost wetting himself every time a whistle blows? Yeah, a lot of their fans are delusional, smug and living their life through the life of a college coach. To top it off...after every game they go to the opposing teams forum and either bitch about how they were screwed or how much of a jack off their players are and when the win...well they do what BK has done. Smug pricks they are. They bitch about Izzo and MSU fans but their coach and fans are 10 x worse...ask fans from any other B1G program...and it has nothing to do with their success. Izzo and MSU do it right....of course BK can now tell me how wrong I am because badger fans know!

You don't watch basketball often in that case. It's a common occurrence. Not to mention that Hill didn't exactly run the clock down. They were looking for shots.

Dekker went in for a hammer dunk the possession prior I believe. Once again....less than a minute left in the game with a near full shot clock. I'm glad he got rejected and dumped on his ass.
 

Looking forward to the beating Wisconsin will take tomorrow. Michigan State is looking good.
 


A guy I know on Facebook (a UW alum who's never left Madison in his life) just posted a picture of the Axe with the caption "Is there an Axe for basketball too?" They're such arrogant pr!cks. How soon they forget how absolutely sh!tty their football and basketball programs were 20 years ago.

Dekker made a free throw at 1:12. We held the ball until :05 left on the shot clock when Smith threw up that shot. In fact....if I remember that play correctly....Smith passed on a wide open three pointer earlier in the possession. Not to mention there was still :42 seconds left in the game when he took it.

The Badger got the ball back with :31 second left in this game. Could have easily run the clock out. They took a shot about :14 seconds in.

Nice try though.
 


That evil kid who almost never plays is a giant ass for wanted to take a shoot in a game. He should be tossed in jail.

If what-his-name had held the ball until the shot clock was about to go off and then shot it, no one would be that upset. He shot it 5 seconds into the shot clock for no reason but to be an @ss. Not the same thing at all.
