Ben Johnson is a Disaster

:LOL::LOL::LOL::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

I am dying at the fact that there are still Ben Johnson apologists on here. He is the worst coach in the conference, maybe in power 5.

We are in the most profitable conference in college sports. We could probably hire away from 80% of college basketball programs. He needs to go. He sucks, the assistance suck, terrible fans terrible stadium on and on and on. Good grief excuse computers everywhere. LOSER MANTALITY.

NIL is old news, adapt or die. He is incapable of coaching a winning program at this level. I haven't watched a game since Ohio State last year and won't be watching a game until a new regime is hired.

Good riddance.

Gophers and Nova should schedule a game quick.

Neptune vs Johnson would be must watch.

Then you got Dixon Vs Garcia. Two 5th year iso bigs surrounded by trash.

Legendary.

Simple solution!
DEMAND THAT ALL PLAYERS OFF THE BALL KEEP MOVING!
ONLY OFFENSIVE players WHO POSSESS THE BALL are allowed to slow down!
The problem seems to be that there are no rules given to those who are cutting or setting picks in Ben's offense. Last night North Texas ran two beautiful sets, back to back at the mid-point of the 2nd half, which just killed us. Their execution was precise and they just parted the red sea for a couple layups. Conversely, the Gophers had no plan and no concept of what they were doing. For Ben, it's over after last night. He has had every opportunity and he has failed. Time for Coyle to move on.

Well you keep the good and change the pieces that aren't working.

So yeah, change the entire offense.
Don't have to change the offense. Just keep reminding the players of what they have been told to do in practice and meetings, but are failing to do during games.

Hey Sane- since you and I were pushing Ken Evans Jr during portal season - he is playing for Florida Atlantic and doing really well: 12 ppg/3 rebs/5assts/3steals/48% 3 point shooting.

Wish we had him! :)

First let me say I'm with you 100%.

LOL on the cutting/picks in Ben's offense. It's never been there in 4 years now.

His offense consist of dribble, dribble, dribble around the 3 point line. Pass to a teammate who in turn dribbles, dribbles, dribbles the other way around the 3 point line and so on until about the 8 second mark on the shot clock. From there who ever has their hands on the ball at that time lofts up a hail mary. It truly is thee worst offense in college BB

NO KIDDING!,
48% 3pt% will work at any level!
We should have warned him about Hurricane Milton heading for FAU!
No chance of hurricanes in Dinkytown...

I think that is probably partially true, however, we've had the issue every year. I do not think the players are executing the offense the way that CBJ has drawn it up, but getting the team to properly execute is part of coaching.

Not to go on another tangent, but I'm secretly cheering for this to hit 200 pages. A few more North Texas like games should do it.

This is my 54th year of Gopher basketball. Through all the ups and downs the Barn generally rocked from Musselman to Clem. Then came the Ganglehoff scandal and the last generation has generally alternated between misery and mediocrity with a few high points. Nevertheless, us semi-old timers in section 101 persevere and even manage to have a good time with the hope—some way & some how—better days lie ahead.
