Used to be common place, but seems it went a way a bit when they played the season in front of no fans. My wife comments on Ben's outfit every game she sees lol she still can't believe he isn't wearing some kind of suit. I would personally love to see it come back for all coaches again.

Used to be that you knew things were getting serious when the coach chucked his suit coat and loosened up the tie. Pulling the zipper down an inch on a 1/4 pullover doesn't quite have the same dramatic effect.

Seems like most coaches this year have been wearing a school pull over. I think this continues probably up to tourney time

The modern role model for that perspective probably would be former Villanova coach Jay Wright. He often looked like he had just stepped down from a wedding cake.

I wonder if a coach would get a technical foul if he literally ripped off his shirt and coached the rest of the game shirtless.

I would imagine Henley must not have glowing things to say to his buddy. Wonder if he'll be on the way out as well.
 


We seem to be hovering very very closely to the Ben is in wayyy over his head stage.

I know, I know, some said that from the start but now it's becoming reality-ish.
 

I can understand hiring Johnson. Mistakes happen. However, Letting this massive mistake continue is orders of magnitude worse.

He's not going to succeed. He's in over his head. It's a do-over. The only questions are when, and how much damage is done prior to the inevitable.

Do it.

The other possibility is that Evans has gotten word that he can take another big time offer (with $) where he feels he fits better and has a cleaner shot at starting day one than here where the one thing we have is 4's and 5's. Henley is in an entirely different situation.

He will be fired by April 1, 2025. Every day that passes between the end of this season and that day with him as the coach is a wasted day.

up to now, Johnson has basically been selling hope - hope that he could recruit better talent and produce a winning program.

but when your marquee recruit -one of the guys you were planning to build your program around - says "I don't want to be part of that program," - you sure as heck can't keep selling hope.

and if you can't sell hope - what's left?
