I think the players (and coach) being bashed all summer by people who had never seen any of them even play was probably pretty motivating. This morning I can’t feel happier for these young men.

Predicting and rooting are two very different things. Team has already beaten my expectations this year and I’m happy to say it.
I actually wanted to wait and see the team play before I started bashing the players and coaching staff....to me that seems pretty logical....

I do see where Some Guy is coming from. Too early to see what is going to happen down the road. Hopefully the bench will do well or the starting 5 is going to limp at some point due to overuse in my opinion. Hopefully I'm wrong about that. I really don't know these guys that well.

While I agree you want to build a bench and that should be a goal as the season goes on....these guys 21 years and have played basketball almost every day for the last 8 years of their lives. They play one or two games a week. It’s not like they are playing 82 game seasons with 3 or 4 games a week. Battle and Willis probably don’t even want to go out of the game. I think people are making a bigger deal out of it than it really is....
I was just going to say that....one team made it past the first weekend of the tournament last year....hardly a dominating performance for a conference that was supposedly up last year.

This pretty much sums it up in a nutshell. Team is playing really well, coaches are coaching really well, yet some people just have to search for things to bother themselves about. I say we just enjoy the product on the court, wouldn't that be a crazy concept?
So back in March and April some people on this board were saying why don’t we give Ben Johnson a chance....you know like actually sign a recruiting class and coach a game or two before we ripped him and the quality of players he recruited. It felt like it was almost a contest to see who could be more negative.
