There absolutely was AAU last year. He's already blowing up. He's not rated because there was no AAU last year due to COVID, so there were no evaluations. Gophers want him badly and they probably want a commitment sooner rather than later so the big name schools don't come calling.
Ben Johnson's first class starts with (hopefully) Payne, Carrington and Tre Holloman.
I’d wait until our MN teams go out and play more national events. Some guys will get their bump then.Saw Holloman currently ranked 75 in his class on 247. Chatman 26 for his. Didn’t see any other Minnesotans listed when I was scrolling 247 this AM
I’m not worried about it. Was just sharing what I foundI’d wait until our MN teams go out and play more national events. Some guys will get their bump then.
Any news on how Rowan s visit went?oron Payne?
I'm banking on a commitment by the end of the week
Are they going to ever say it sucked?? They get wined and dined...made to feel important....

It appears as though the staff have made Payne the priority instead of Lee.Good question. I thought I saw he was visiting UST this week.

Ahjany Lee #104

These rankings suck and Id expect them to change drastically after the July live period. But with Carrington the MN kids didnt leave the state much if at all last year since the shoe circuits got cancelled and the evaluators didnt come to MN.Anyone know why Braeden Carrington isn't rated at all? Have scouts really not seen him play even though he has multiple high major offers? I'm hoping we get him, so not questioning his ability, just odd that he hasn't even been evaluated.
Nike, Adidas, and Under Armour all cancelled their seasons but there was still AAU events. The Minnesota teams just played in local events instead of going all over the country like they usually do.So...was there actually a shoe circuit in 2020? I thought there was not. We have conflicting opinions in this thread. Can anyone confirm?
I see we are looking into multiple pg
guards now.. hard not to see this another way...
And you can’t be left scrambling IF Tre chooses MSU or Marquette or another school. Even if they get Tre, that still equals one lead guard/PG on the 2022-2023 roster. We have at the very least 8 spots open for next year. Pretty sure there is room for two PGs
Lydon MurthaI'm sure the visits went "well" and "they could definitely see themselves at Minnesota."
In all honesty, I've read hundreds (thousands?) of recruiting articles over the years. I've never read a recruit say anything other than the visit went (insert positive description).
Go Recruiting Visits!!
And the big ones can play with Tre at the same time.We have at the very least 8 spots open for next year. Pretty sure there is room for two PGs
