All Things Class of 2015 Recruiting - Class Finally Complete? Nope Chris Obekpa visit

This is what the NIT is good for. The games are on national TV and recruits like Trier can see how we play. We're bombing 3's right now, has to look like a fun team to play for for a guy like Trier.

Alonzo is retweeting Gopher fans on his twitter right now and interacting with Josh Martin and Nate Mason. Certainly can't be a bad thing!

Trier has been interacting with both Mason and Martin through out the game. Good stuff.

Vomit.

Exactly. It seems pretty clear to me that Wisconsin getting to the Final Four and potentially winning it will have a hell of a lot more benefit for Wisconsin than it will for Minnesota due to some BS halo factor, just because they happen to be in our conference. Be very wary, Gophers fans, a formidable recruiting opponent is about to get even stronger.

Very, very worried about losing Johnson to them.

What I want to know is, where are the folks who were insistent that the Jarrod Uthoff transfer situation (from Wisconsin to Iowa) would really hurt Bo & the future of the Badger program?

I'm starting to think Jarvis will be a Badger so I wouldn't mind if Pitino offered a few other highly ranked PGs to hedge his bet. We haven't heard anything all that positive from Jarvis a loooooong time. Most Badger fans think he's a lock for them.

Minnesota simply needs to take care of its own business, start winning and the rest will fall into place. Cheering for someone to loose to hope to make yourself better isn't a winning strategy- you make things happen for yourself.
You focus on what you can control and if done right, you'll come out on top.

Bingo.

For the most part, with a couple exceptions, it seems like this board likes Pitino and the direction he has the Gopher program headed. I'm certainly in that camp. Mostly positive vibes here on the Hole.

So if that's the case, let's trust the man that he'll get the right players here, ones that fit his system, and that the wins (in the Big Ten standings & NCAA tourney) will follow not long thereafter.

According to 247 we've offered 4 PG's (including Jarvis). All are 4*'s, two of them rated higher than Jarvis.

Obviously we'd be thrilled with any of them, but even still, losing Jarvis to Wisconsin would be a tough pill to swallow. He just seems like a perfect fit for us.

Good to know. I just want a top rated PG in 2015. If it isn't Jarvis, fine, his loss.

I still think Jarvis will be a gopher, he's local and like I've said earlier I'll believe we are the favorite with him and big Al until I hear otherwise, they are perfect fits for our system and you have consider at Bo's age, how long he wants to keep going as well. When we made the final four it didn't give us El AMin, hell he de committed that year. Jarvis will start right aaway here too, he'll be backing up Koening at UW for two years

I've only watched Jarvis about 6 times and every time it watch him I'm not very impressed. Now saying that it's only 6 times so take it with a grain of salt. I watched him in the state championship game this year and was not impressed at all. Very athletic and quick, but to me he was a wuss. He better get tougher before he's going to play with the big boys

A wuss? What are we in elementary school? Jarvis will be a very good college player and will only get better as he grows into his body. I think he'll have a great year next year as they'll look to him to score more than they have in the past for obvious reasons. We'd be very lucky to get him and hopefully Alex.

Would you rather have me call him a pussy? Just saying how I thought he played that game and that's how he played. Not saying he won't be a good player though

Just think an adult calling a 17 year old kid names is unnecessary. You can understand where i'm coming from right?

I'm only 18 so I'm calling a kid the same age as me a name

If we lose Jarvis and/or Alex because the Skunks win the national title, the "Yay Big Ten!" crowd should automatically lose their right to express any opinion, ever. The strength of the Big Ten is not going to help us with any regional recruits. They're in the Midwest already - they know how strong the conference is. The Big Ten already basically has first choice over them - the question is which Big Ten team they play for.

Me, I hope he takes a good, hard look at Little Dre and sees what this system could help him become. (Especially if he improves his jumper - I think Dre could be unstoppable next year if he does that). I also hope UW loses by 40 tonight, but that applies to every game they play, ever, including exhibition games.

plus one **** Wisconsin. My favorite gopher fan is that dude who wears the badger fur coat, I really hope he skinned that badger himself

I think the fact that Wisconsin has made the Final Four has already pushed the Badgers to the front of recruits' minds. I don't think them losing in the final four is really going to hurt their status with potential recruits.
Even though nothing the Badgers do in the final four can hurt them recruiting-wise, I still hope they get the $hit stomped out of them by Kentucky today!!
