QB Justin Fields to the Jets for 2/$40M.
It is and it isn't. If Jordan Love and Dak Presocott are worth $55 million/year, Darnold for $36 doesn't seem so bad. That's a ton of money for him. He played well last year but he's not top tier.
Darnold's new deal makes him the 18th highest paid starting QB in the NFL. Seems about right to me and is a fair contract for both of the parties involved IMO.That's a ton of money for him. He played well last year but he's not top tier.

CHI and NE are just crushing it so far. The Bears added three (3) starters to both their OL and DL including the best OC in the league (Dalmen) and DT Grady Jarrett.
We've signed a backup CB.
PA will discuss everyday all day and now Mackey is stealin PA’s bit.
There's a limited commodity of available talent but I get what you're saying. Getting Ryan Kelly was a really good move.Meh... We're not even 6 hours into it. It's an endurance race, not a sprint. I would venture to guess that most of the first day signings are almost always overpays.
I'll withhold my opinion until the next week or two (or at the very least a few days from now).
Great signing. 1 more IOL, Daniel Jones and another DB, then move down in the draft, if possible, to pick up 1 or 2 more picks.
Hopefully it works better for Kwesi than Derek Falvey.Looks like their approach is sign guys that had significant injury problems in 2024 and hope they rebound (Hargrave, Allen, Fries).
the Vikings won the FA sweepstakes.
JJM was recently cleared for the Vikings Spring practices so that's a good sign. He'll certainly have a better OL to work with than Darnold.^^^^^ They must be real confident in McCarthy's health.
Or maybe a new starting QB?We will have a new backup QB.
