All Things 2025 Minnesota Twins In-Season Thread

Still have the ball sitting on a shelf next to the signed Viking helmet by Darrisaw and a signed Bobby Jackson basketball.

I wish Alcala could have been great here cause the stuff is really good. He just has been so bad since that blowup in Texas last year. That game basically turned the entire season for the twins.

Alcala's blowup against Texas last year lit the fuse, but the season falling apart was pretty inevitable given the injuries sustained in Aug-Sept...Ryan, Correa & Buxton primarily.

Hopefully that’s an AS autograph ball soon🤠

I’m glad they’re giving him a fresh start.

Who knows if he ran into some personal issues that have been affecting him🤷‍♂️

Hope he lands on his feet and has a good, not great, solid career ahead of him.

Trade for Kyle Gibson. We need an arm. He's not as bad as his #'s to this point. Edit: Now the Rays, but I'm guessing they'd still trade him.

If they could have had Gibson for nothing a few days ago, I am not sure why trading for him now makes sense.

He signed with the Rays 5/28 before all the #$$$ hit the fan. Unfortunate timing.

Ok, fair enough.

Gibson could be worth take a cheap flier despite the ERA north of 16.00. He signed late, so did not have a full Spring Training.

Of course it happens in a meaningless spot. Minnesota sports.
He's also been injured on Opening Day, in Spring Training, crashing into a wall playing OF as well as shoveling snow.

If it hadn't happened in the 9th inning last night, it may have just as easily occurred while catching a ride back to the hotel.

O/U is only 8.5 with SWR twirling. Tempting, but he’ll probably chuck a 4 hit CG SO knowing my betting luck

Wow, just wow Duran!
Squeezed by the umps on the first batter and then fuk me baseball.

don't the Astros kind of feel like playing the yankees........just ownership of their minds.

Difference was moving a runner from second to third late in a tight, low-scoring game. France gave it a good shot but couldn’t get the ball past the pitcher. Altuve succeeded with his dribbler. It’s also astonishing the Twins have no choice apparently but to bat Vazquez to lead off the 10th.

Royce Lewis, what’s the next chapter??? I don’t think this baseball thing is meant to be - you make Buck look like Jim Marshall!!
As Bud once told Sid, “Yes, Rick Feeney has all the ability in the world. That doesn’t matter if he’s always hurt. Availability is more important than ability.”

First monster trade of the Season -

Red Sox reportedly deal Rafael Devers to Giants after position change dispute

Rafael Devers' 2025 season has been defined by dominance at the plate and an extended dispute with the Boston Red Sox over his fielding position. Now, it will also be known for a blockbuster trade.

The San Francisco Giants have acquired Devers in a trade that will send pitchers Jordan Hicks, Kyle Harrison and more back to Boston, according to Fansided's Robert Murray and CBS Sports' Julian McWilliams.

The Giants have reportedly agreed to take on all of Devers' current contract, which will pay him $254.5 million over the next eight seasons after this one. Currently slotted as a designated hitter, Devers was enjoying one of the best seasons of his career at the plate, hitting .271/.400/.494 and leading the league in walks with 55.

Devers did not demand a trade, according to Chris Cotillo of MassLive.
