All Things 2025 Minnesota Twins In-Season Thread

Down on the farm -

Triple-A St. Paul: One of the most interesting players in the Twins’ system, infielder Payton Eeles, has made it to back to St. Paul. Eeles, a 25-year-old product of independent ball who is listed at 5-foot-5, put up big numbers at three levels last year. He began this year on the injured list, but after rehab stints at Single-A and High-A, he’s back to Triple-A.

Double-A Wichita: In an encouraging development, former Top 100 prospect Gabriel Gonzalezhas continued producing since a promotion to Double-A. Gonzalez had a rough 2024 and was assigned to return to High-A, but after a hot start, earned the call to go up to Wichita. He’s posted a .300/.373/.433 slash line at Double-A.

Or not. They sent Adams back down to the minors before he got to make his big league debut.
Randell, are you gonna grab an Uber from
St. Paul yo Minneapolis, or drive yourself🤔.

Congrats On your stunning numbers in the capital city thus far: 0-2, 5.87 ERA & 1.533 WHIP. You’re not Spong Bob worthy😉

Since the Saints are in Indianapolis, I would recommend the Blue Line to the MSP Airport.
Knowing how the Twins operate, SWR probably had to hitch-hike from Indy to Chicago to catch a Megabus back to Minneapolis. I think it just passed through Beloit.

On this date in 2022, Byron Buxton became just the fifth player in franchise history to hit two home runs in back-to-back games. The previous players were Eddie Rosario in 2019, Kirby Puckett in 1987, Don Mincher in 1963, and Harmon Killebrew with the Senators in 1959.

It was Buck's third-straight game with at least one home run.

The twins might need a starting pitcher just to keep the ship afloat. Not sure they can go two months without Pablo.

Obviously losing Pablo hurts with having to replace him with at best a QuadA caliber starter, for 2-3 months. The ripple effect is that it puts more stress in the bullpen, as Pablo could reasonably counted on to go 6 or 7+ innings.

Anyone ever see another HR in LC over the pen that reached the second deck?

Man that was a sweet stroke🤠

Oh Boston was willing to take on a guy that couldn't make it work with the Twins?

Congratulations to Jorge Alcala on his Hall Of Fame induction!

KIdding. Sort of.

The Alcala to Boston trade was kind of like the Clemens to us trade.

"We are going to DFA Player X. If you want to guarantee that you get him, we want Y (either a level C prospect or cash)."

Some pretty ugly baseball played yesterday and so far today by the Twins. Saw some bad effort plays effort played last night and some ugly AB’s today.

Think we have an Ober problem. Got to get him figured our or we're down to 2 reliable starters.

The Twins are done. They now going to go on a long losing streak. Again the Twins are not making the playoffs this year. it time to blow this team up.

Could really use another series vs. the White Sox, A's or Rockies to right the ship.

But the rest of June is all teams over .500.

I think he needs a change of scenery, but he was light s out until he hit the wall last year.

Given his age and arm talent, he’s worth at least a Joe Ryan autographed baseball🤷‍♂️
Still have the ball sitting on a shelf next to the signed Viking helmet by Darrisaw and a signed Bobby Jackson basketball.

I wish Alcala could have been great here cause the stuff is really good. He just has been so bad since that blowup in Texas last year. That game basically turned the entire season for the twins.
