All Things 2024-25 Vikings Regular Season Thread

Something's gotta give here; either I have to stop responding to your posts with general off-the-top-of-my-head comments or you have to stop responding to those posts as though everything in it is attacking you. Either I'm just not clear enough or you're incredibly defensive, possibly both.

If I attack your opinion, you'll probably know it; my comments on here about the Vikings and the Front Office, Kwesi, et al are essentially 99.99% general comments, speaking to what seems to be an inordinate amount of people who just can't seem to stand KAM for whatever reason.
Do what many of us have done. I put him on ignore years ago. It's amazing that he can't adapt his posting approach over all these years.

Lest we forget Wes Chandler in that WR group and those RBs:

QB Fouts
RB Muncie
RB Brooks
WR Joiner
WR Jefferson
WR Chandler
TE Winslow

I loved that team.

That was probably my first favorite team; I was a huge, HUGE Fouts fan. What an offense.

How many Super Bowls did they win? 😎

Along with those Chargers teams:
-the Earl Campbell/Bum Phillips baby blue uniformed Houston Oilers
-Phi Slamma Jamma Houston Cougars
-early ‘80s Montreal Expos
-The Wire (never nominated for an Emmy in Drama)

Sometimes legends don’t need a ‘ship
How in the eff was "The Wire" never nominated for an Emmy, let alone win one??? Travesty.

as an older fellow, when I think of the San Diego Chargers, I think of John Hadl throwing to Lance "Bambi" Alworth. the old AFL in the mid-to-late 60's was this crazy passing league. lots more fun than the NFL at the time, which was typified by Lombardi's Packers running the power sweep.

I think now it would be; back when it first aired, i think it was too cutting edge. HBO’s tagline then was, “No limits.”

How quaint it feels now😃

While I completely agree, it's one of the best shows/series ever created, The Wire is most definitely not for everyone. It's a show you kind of have to immerse yourself into, it can be incredibly detailed. I have told people before, it's not a show you can watch casually, while you're washing the dishes or only halfway paying attention.

Now, back to the 11-2 Minnesota Vikings!

Vikings QB Sam Darnold Named NFC Offensive Player of the Week for Week 14

EAGAN, Minn. – It's only fitting after setting a career benchmark.

Sam Darnold has been named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week for Week 14, the league announced Wednesday.
The honor comes after Darnold completed a career-high five touchdown passes Sunday afternoon against the Falcons, helping lead Minnesota to a 42-21 victory.

Vikings Offensive Coordinator Wes Phillips commented on Darnold's "great, great football game," noting his performance within concepts as well as off-schedule plays.

"You know, he avoids a free guy and keeps his eyes up and finds Justin, moves in the pocket, stole first downs with his legs once again, or just positive plays using his legs [that] have shown up all year long," Phillips said. "And then, just made some great throws and great decisions throughout the game. No turnovers, winning football all around. But it was a little more than that."

Dominic West is underrated in everything he does and Omar is right up there with Jax Teller and Don Draper for me as favorite characters.

Omar wasn’t originally a regular character, he was only supposed to be in a few episodes, but Michael Williams was so good, Simon kept making his role bigger and bigger etc..

Will you root for the Packers tonight or not? if Green Bay wins tonight. Minnesota clinch a playoffs spot.

Watching the early games today and I am reminded of how many truly mediocre quarterbacks there are in the league. Either that or bad offensive systems (or both).

It really is. And yet that moron imbecile Mina Kimes said just a couple weeks ago how the NFL is full of great QBs right now, like never before.... Good Lord, how does that woman have a microphone....

Bills laying the wood to Detroit, and I was kinda thinking they would; I took Buffalo M/L. Just way too many injuries for Detroit on defense to keep playing at a high level

The Lions defense is so bad. Bills up 14-0 right now. Blow them out Buffalo.
Yes, but Josh Allen looks like the greatest qb ever today.

Lions defenders are dropping like flies again.
