All Things 2024/25 College Football Transfer Portal Thread

Hate this for Nubin. Leaving the Gophers to go to an 0-12 team that will not be much better next year. He gets school paid for and gets to play for the love of the game. Their non conference is a little better going to Texas Tech, Florida State, and Oklahoma instead of Tennessee, Penn State and Pitt. who they played this year

Hopefully he gets a little NIL, too? What a great team player he is. Hate to see him leave, but in the new B1G a team must upgrade a bit each and every year--via the portal as well as recruiting--or be left behind. Of course, he wasn't going to see the field much in 2025 at Minnesota; he should get a lot of playing time with the Flashes. Always will have a spot in my Gopher Heart for Jordan Nubin, though. Michigan State ...

May have been mentioned already but I see Will Pauling (WR - Wisconsin) is in the portal. Good player.....would look great in Maroon and Gold if there is interest from both sides.

Probably looking for a good FCS team. I've heard there's a few of those in the region.
Just got an Iowa State offer.

In 18 hours he has
Iowa State
Washington State/Wake Forest probably
Buffalo
Kent State
Eastern Michigan
Western Michigan
UTEP
Montana

This will be interesting. He’s a top D3 player. Wisconsin native.

Nice article by Reusse on him and his family, via MSN, so you can read it.

Some highlights -

9 — Interceptions, third-most in a single-season for Bethel and most in the nation

4 — Interceptions returned for a TD, leading the nation; single-season DIII record

6 — Career interceptions returned for a TD, tied for DIII career record

16 — Career interceptions

Also had a least 1 punt return for TD. Wonder if he could fill the Henderson role if Gophers are interested.

I think he could and those players really help the run defense.

Late bloomer, was 5’8” 145 lb as a HS Freshman; Dad coached his HS - always like players whose Dad’s were coaches.

Great list. Wow. There's a guy or two on this forum that call D3 football glorified high school. Lol. The best teams always have multiple players that could play at higher levels.

Thx. PJ needs to develop a relationship with the National Weather Service for campus visits. It's colder than a witch's t..ty today.
Isn't it "hotter than a witch's t..ty" and "colder than a well-diggers ass"? You know, she is standing over a boiling pot of brew. Her t..ties would be pretty warm.

The freshmen talent is only going to go up at this level with the way D1 is using the portal. It will be whether the kids stay D3 or move up for their last 2 years.

That almost sounds like a JUCO situation in D2 and D3 where the young stars move up and some bench players in D1 move down.

I don't know if the portal has already impacted D3, but we're seeing some new blood in the late rounds of the playoffs. The final fours were usually dominated by a very small handful of teams in the past. Parity?

And now his home state Badgers have offered.
