All Things 2024-25 College Basketball Other Games Thread

Eric Musselman and USC are leading #12 Oregon at the half. It's OK, we didn't want him anyway. We've got our guy.

And they lost. Less than a week after getting clown stomped 71-36 by St. Marys.

Michigan trying to choke a large lead against Iowa. Iowa full court press caused turnovers and Iowa hits their shots to tie the game with 16 seconds to go.
Officials call a goal tend against Iowa for Michigan to go up by 2, 85-83 with 4.6 seconds to go. Iowa gets it up court and calls timeout with 1.5 seconds left. Last second shot is missed. Michigan wins.

Gotta question Fran calling the timeout with 1.5 seconds to go.

Gonzaga v Kentucky is a heavyweight bout. Zags have kept the Wildcats at arms length, but Kentucky keeps coming at them.
Per ESPN, the past 20 national champions have been in the top 12 of the AP poll in week 6 (this Monday's poll). The loser of this game may drop out of the top 12 (though I doubt it since it's so close).

I doubt either one drops below 12.

I just don't see how a team with Hunter Dickinson as their best player can truly be a title contender

He's horrendous on D and relies too much on other guys on offense to consistently dominate.

I am sure a gambler knows what you're saying here, but it's honestly gibberish to me.

The (+) number refers to what gets added to their score to determine the bet outcome. In other words.....had they lost by 17 points.....I still would have won the bet. 18 point loss? It's a loser. That's basically how point spreads work across every sport.

In the battle of the two studs we lost, Texas A&M beats Texas Tech by 5.

Payne with 6 pts and 1 rebound
Hawkins with 7 pts and 5 assists

Against the teams with a pulse (St Joe's, Cuse, DePaul and A&M) Hawkins is shooting 28% from the field and 30% from 3.

I watched the last 7/8 minutes and I don't think Payne saw the floor.

#16 Memphis on the ropes against Arkansas State at home. Currently down 73-60.

Hawkins also had 6 turnovers in that game. Putting NIL aside, I'd say that the former Gopher players (from last season) who did best by transferring were Ihnen (he's now Liberty's 2nd leading scorer), Carrington, and Ola Joseph. Hawkins and Payne would have had bigger roles here. I think it's safe to say that our team would have been better too. Kleinys didn't play much here and doesn't play that much more at Pacific.
