All Things 2023 Minnesota Vikings In-Season Thread

Pace is all over the pace(I mean place)

Did they snap the ball with 17 seconds to go on the play clock meaning they had to run a 4th down play?

One of the worst games in the history of football.
We need to draft a qb next year in a loaded qb draft.

These wins mean nothing other than in April.......we are screwed

We were picking 21 today and a loss would have had us at about 15.

I would think that has to be the first scoreless half in a dome as well as a 3-0 game. Just a guess.

Vikings beat Raiders 3-0 in lowest-scoring NFL game in 16 years

LAS VEGAS -- — Minnesota and Las Vegas played the lowest-scoring NFL game in 16 years, with Greg Joseph's 36-year-old field goal with 1:57 left giving the Vikings a 3-0 victory over the Raiders on Sunday.

It was the first 3-0 game since Pittsburgh beat Miami on Nov. 26, 2007, the third in the past 40 years and the seventh in the Super Bowl era.

Joseph's kick ensured the game wouldn't end regulation scoreless for the first time since the New York Giants played the host Detroit Lions to a 0-0 tie on Nov. 7, 1943.

The Vikings (7-6) had just 230 total yards, and the Raiders (5-8) — losers of three in a row — were limited to 201 yards and nine first downs. Minnesota beat an AFC West opponent for the first time this season after going 0-3.

It was Minnesota's first shutout since defeating the Packers 16-0 on Dec. 23, 2017 and the first blanking of Las Vegas since its 24-0 loss to New Orleans on Oct. 30, 2022.

Nick Mullens relieved a struggling Joshua Dobbs at quarterback and led the Vikings on their lone scoring drive. His 22-yard completion to Jordan Addison to the Raiders 20 set up Joseph's kick..

Per TV announcers sitting hundreds of feet away. If he was upset with a ref then he’s a moron cause Toney was clearly offside.
It was the last play. He lobbed it downfield, and one of his receivers was interfered with.

But the chiefs aren't what they used to be and they are losing it. I love it.

I don't understand how KOC was using Dobbs. Dobbs was at his best when he was scrambling around, improvising, using his feet, etc. As time goes on, KOC is taking those types of opportunities away and trying to make him into a Cousins-type of pocket passer. How many designed runs has he had in the past two games? Never moving the pocket around to get him moving despite horrible protection. Dobbs looked like Cousins out there just sitting on the pocket as he is swallowed up and sacked. Let him get outside and move around I realize that even at his best we will be limited at best, but I just don't it.

Brilliant call on the pooch kick. I suggested it right before the FG unit came out. Didn’t expect it to come that way. Nice call.

Sitting in the stadium, I called pooch kick by Mullens before they trotted out the FG crew. Great, great call, not great execution really. I told my buddy he only had to kick it (exaggerating) about 10 yards. He did barely that. A little more would have been good. Even and end-over-ender going eventually into the end zone wouldn't have been bad, but oh well. All's well that ends well

I haven't been so excited about a game out come in a long time!! I f'ng got the Vikings at (-2.5) REALLY early last week (maybe even last Sunday?) and the Vikings were at (-3) the entire week!!!!

WINNER, WINNER, CHICKEN DINNER!!!!

I thought the whole thing was funny. I was rooting for a 0-0 overtime tie, just to make history.

seriously, I'm on record that if the Vikings are not going to make the playoffs, I would rather see them lose the rest of their games and get a better draft pick. finishing 9-8 or 8-9 accomplishes nothing.
