All Things 2021 NCAA College Basketball March Madness Tournament Thread

Very impressive. iNCREDIBLE that so many programs are so bad defensively and year after year are mediocre.
Thoughts on Memphis defense?

Maybe they were just having an incredible game/CSU an incredible bad game ... but damn they were suffocating.

A&M has also had some moments in college MBB.

And SMU was getting going there a few years ago.

So yeah, fairly loaded it would seem at the moment! Just TCU that is dragging?

SMU actually did have two periods of significant success in their history. The first one was under Doc Hayes from the mid-fifties to the latter sixties. The second was during the eighties under the notorious Dave Bliss.

I thought Gonzaga was going to struggle when they played teams that have been playing greater competition all year, I was very wrong.

They are reminding me of 1990s UNLV right now. Or maybe the Florida dynasty years

Creighton is a good, well-coached team. Gonzaga is just heads above everyone at this point.

Suggs has been pretty out of control offensively for most of this game, but he seems to know when to take a back seat and fit into the flow when he’s a little off - Gonzaga is just so talented at every position. He’s a bulldog on-ball defensively as well.

You're forgetting their 2014 NIT runner up run under the great Larry Brown 😎

So why does Few have his starters in with a 30 pt lead and 4 minutes left😡

Some sloppy play in this Michigan Florida State game. Neither team is running the break well.

Impressive that Michigan is doing this without Livers.

First time watching them this year, but Florida state just doesn’t look like a well-coached team today

No, MPLS sort of insinuated about the modest success of that period so I didn't need to mention that. I was a fan of Larry Brown. If he were 15 years younger, I would have loved to watch him come back to the college game and coach the Gophers. He was a specialist at taking bottom dwelling NBA teams and making them competitive and he did something similar for SMU.

Is he really ready for the NBA?
