Luke Fickell rumored to be taking the Cincinnati job.

Cincinnati has a plane?
Luke doesn't know where they are / can't get there himself?
It sounds like Kiffin is the front runner for the Florida Atlantic job. I'd think he'd be better off staying at Alabama until a better opening comes around.
That's like 100 miles. You can't expect him to drive there like a peasant, can you?
more like the UC athletic department didnt want to look like peasants - they've been shamelessly trying to get into the p5 (rightfully so) for awhile now

I actually kind of like it for Kiffin.
I think it would be easier for him rebuild Florida Atlantic than a middling P5 school (who seem to be passing on him too).
We've always known that he is a valuable part of any helmet school's coaching staff (as a recruiter/coordinator), the question is whether or not he could run a program.
If he turns Florida Atlantic around and I think he would, he'd look like a pretty good candidate anywhere.
It just might be worth the pay cut just to get away from the A** chewings he gets from Saban!Wonder what they would be willing to pay...think Kiffin is making maybe twice what the last HC there made.
FAU and South Florida now have coaches some once wanted at Minnesota.
Kiffin and Saban must have really hated each other. I knew Kiffin wanted to move, but didn't realize how badly. I laughed when his name got brought up here as a potential replacement for Claeys, but at this point you have to think he would have been a legitimate option.

It was reported that Kiffin was done after this year at Alabama regardless if he took a head coaching job or not. FAU is a risky boom or bust for him. If he wins, he will be back in the P5 soon. If he struggles, he probably won't get an opportunity as a head coach again.
Eh, even if he fails someone will give him a job again if he can make another successful OC run.
Though Kiffin’s name was brought up for multiple jobs across the last three years, nearly all of it was speculation and smoke rather than genuine interest in him. One person with knowledge of the matter, who had investigated Kiffin for a job, said reference calls to people who worked at USC and Tennessee basically rendered him unhireable.

Yet, the best college football coach of all time hires him to run his very successful offense..

I can see one soon to be opening up he might be interested in
If that's true, Lane might have a nice little lawsuit against both of his former employers.
Not much you are legally allowed to say about a former employee
