Vaughn waiting is the best thing for us because it gives our staff more time to catch up in forming a relationship with him. If Pitino lands Perkins in 2 months, it should help a lot in attracting Vaughn here.

Hmmmmm....we'll see about that. A lot can change in 2 months, especially for a 17-18 year old.

Perkins doesn't have any offers that jump out at me and make me doubtful. Yes he has UCLA and Arizona, but I think Pitino can nab this guy and then hopefully they go to the same prep school and Perkins can convince him to come with.
 



We are supposed to think positive right? After all, if anyone here knows what the law of attraction is, we need to pool our positive thoughts together to get good recruits. I'll be praying about 8 pm central time so join in.

I agree, I don't think he comes here without Vaughn, my guess is Arizona, it's not to often these kids surprise you.

Isaiah Whitehead and Ja'Quan Newton are supposedly "working on a master plan." Both have been offered by Minnesota. This could be big.

Just saw this on twitter and went to check their similar offers right away and according to rivals the Gophers are the only team that both have offers from, cautiously optimistic right now.

Very cautiously... This could be HUGE though. Something has to go our way for once.

The various sites have conflicting offer lists, but 247 shows him with Kansas and Kentucky offers, and more than one Kentucky writer has predicted recently that he'll end up there.

This was my next question. Getting excited. Can you imagine if we locked these two up early? Vaughn and Reid would feel a little pressure to decide on Minnesota. Tyus would effectively be out of the picture.

Is the only other school that they are both considering Georgetown? This would be a really impressive development if it happened.

Have either talked highly about GT or Rutgers. We all know that both have been pretty positive about Minnesota.

Just saw those two as I didn't see the show all button for Whitehead's offers, Whitehead does list Georgetown as medium interest and Rutgers as none while the Gophers are listed as high interest.
 

Jerry Meyer (247Sports) just updated his Crystal Ball predictions and has Whitehead and Newton to Minnesota.

I saw earlier that Meyer had tweeted "Minnesota?" in response to the "teaming up?" tweets. Meyer knows his stuff, so this thing has legs at the very least.

Agreed. Trying not to get too excited, as I am a seasoned gophers hoop fan. But this is a fun development
