Ran into Martin on campus last night. When talking to him about what schools he likes, he never mentioned Pitt other than that he's going there next weekend. He seemed to really enjoy his visit here this weekend and I believe he will be the first 2014 commit for Pitino's staff.

I think it's safe to say that if Martin doesn't verbal to Minnesota (whether now or after Pitt visit), then we can conclude a players enjoyment of an official visit means very little. I like our chances.

I agree, I had a few tweets from Josh and he has been very interested in Coach Pitino's offense and how he fits in, and then he met a very pretty little blond on his visit.... can you say Isaiah....
Josh Martin had narrowed his choice down to Minnesota, Florida State and Pittsburg, Florida has commitments from Cinmeon Bowers 6'6" 235lbs PF and Mavin Saunders 6'5" 233lbs PF. I told Josh about the signing while he was in Florida on his official last week. Gophers look pretty good.... not sure what Pitt has for recruits

It's clear we have a great shot at landing Josh Martin, which I'm stoked about. He looks like a beast. Does Tum Tum have any officials left, or will he be committing soon? I've got to think Tum Tum's choice will have a big impact Riley.

Following his final visit this weekend to Indiana, Lourawls “Tum Tum” Nairn is hoping to decide “soon,” his coach told SNY.tv.
“We would like to make a decision soon,” Belaire (KS) Sunrise Christian Academy coach Kyle Lindsted told SNY.tv.
Lindsted said the Indiana visit went well.
“He really like their skill development, strength and conditioning, the coaches,” Lindsted said. “The players were good to him. He liked that he was able to go to church with [coach Tom] Crean. I think he was impressed with the whole thing.”

I think we'll get Martin. Not sure about LaChance but my gut feeling is on Tum Tum is that he'll go to Indiana.

Regarding Minnesota, Lindsted said: “He just likes that they’ve recruited him so hard – they’ve been faithful, they’ve been loyal, they just work very, very hard to get him there. Those guys have kind of told him he’s their No. 1 guy and they’ve treated him that way from Day 1, and I think he thinks that that’s a good town, that’s a good place to be. He knows those guys have put him as a high priority and he appreciates that, I think.
Michigan State will be in Kansas today to see Nairn, Lindsted said, and Minnesota is expected to be in town on Wednesday.

Playing time will be a huge factor in his decision. Good.
We will have the last sit down with him (presumably). Good.
I'm cautiously optimistic.
Same here. I feel good about Martin and hope hope hope we could sign both Tum Tum and Riley. Not sure how likely that is, but would be very cool.

If that does happen don't we only have 1 scholarship left?? Holding out for Vaughn, Travis??
Wouldn't be surprised if we over signed the class as well. There's always a chance someone leaves the team, leaves as a graduated senior with another year of eligibility (presumably Oto, Mo, or EE could), someone doesn't qualify, Andre goes pro, Wally focuses on track, etc... If not, could be a first come, first serve for the 4th scholarship.
