Yep. Idk if this takes us out of the running for Whitehead or not? Miami already has a top 100 SG signed for 2014 so I don't see them being a package deal there.
I agree with you about the package deal wearing off and realy don't see Whitehead going to Miami, I also expect him to probably end up at Syracuse and agree they are probably the favorite for him right now. I would think the next guy to make his decison that we are after would be Perkins but there may be a small chance Macura ends up deciding before him and I feel pretty good about the chances of the Gophers getting Macura.I think that package deal hype kind of wore off. I hadn't heard anything about it in a while. I think we still have a shot at Whitehead but I'd say Syracuse is the frontrunner.
Darn I really thought we were going to land this kid
I still think we'll get Reid, Rashad, Whitehead, Tyus and Snider though.

This sucks, plain and simple. Still lots of players left on the board, but we've gotta land a guy soon, or things could take a major tumble. We still haven't got one recruit signed, so yes, while I'm not panicking, I am starting to get a little worried.
Other than Cohen, Newton, Joseph.....are there are others that we have been going after recently that have officially eliminated us at this point? Maybe I'm missing a couple.
Really?? Miami Newton??...I'm actually pretty suprised by this, must want to go and party it up?
No Jaquan - too bad. However, I think this will be a very, very good class. I'm thinking Tum Tum Nairn, Vaughn, Macura and Reid.
Or, you know, go to a program coming off their best year in their history who got there by showcasing their point guard to the point where he went from an afterthought to a first round NBA draft pick, running the same offense Newton has said he prefers. Oh, and really nice weather and coeds.
And the chance for LeBron and Wade to show up and sit courtside at your games. I think people really underestimate what a recruiting sell that was for Miami.

Now the nice weather year round and coeds could certainly impact a decision if the choice was mine, Wade and Lebron not so much.

My predictions:
Tyus Jones- Duke
Rashad Vaughn- Kentucky/UCLA
Reid Travis- Stanford
Lourawls Nairn- Minnesota
Josh Perkins- UCLA
Quentin Snider- ???
Josh Martin- Minnesota
Alex Robinson- TCU
Wade Baldwin- Vanderbilt
JP Macura- Minnesota
Isaiah Whitehead- Syracuse
Paul White- Georgetwown
All top 120 players.
Would have loved to have landed Newton, and our PG options are starting to dwindle a little bit with both Newton and Joseph off the board and the consensus being that Tyus is going to end up elsewhere.
Josh Perkins- Gonzaga seems like a popular prediction
Lourawls Nairn
Alex Robinson
Quentin Snider- does not seem particularly interested in the Gophers
Dominic Magee- rumored to be an OK State lean
Any of the 5 are probably still possible, but Nairn/Robinson seem like the guys the Gophers have the best shot at as of today. I think any of them would be a great get at PG, but I'd be disappointed if we had to take a step down from this group.
