There's the 9th guy in the rotation of a top 1/3 of the BiG team we needSounds like there's a pretty decent chance of getting Omot back home

Only 4 games but 10ppg at a power conference school shooting 45/35 is better than 9th man on a top Big Ten team, I know your whole thing is just hating on shit, but doesn't it get old. He would be a contributor on a good team. The star? Maybe not, but 6 foot 8 wings who can shoot don't grow on trees either. It would be a good get, the reaction should be excitement, not incredulity. Wouldn't it be more fun, to you know, cheer? There's the 9th guy in the rotation of a top 1/3 of the BiG team we need
Maybe look farther into the player than 4 games, sport.Only 4 games but 10ppg at a power conference school shooting 45/35 is better than 9th man on a top Big Ten team, I know your whole thing is just hating on shit, but doesn't it get old. Asuma, Kyan Evans and Amot would be a real nice start. When knows, maybe Grove has a great summer and is ready as well. We are going to have enough money to go big on a star or two and good money for our other starters.Only 4 games but 10ppg at a power conference school shooting 45/35 is better than 9th man on a top Big Ten team, I know your whole thing is just hating on shit, but doesn't it get old. Ok lets go back to his last year at UND, kid. 42% on 17ppg will play. Maybe his freshman and high school stats don't tell a whole story of a developing player.Maybe look farther into the player than 4 games, sport.
He's not a shooter, and he doesn't rebound because he's rail thin.
Honest question: How does he project compared to Both Gach? Similar players? I think Omot could play a role, I hope not a starting one though. I feel like Goch started about half of his games here, but didn't do much with the opportunity. Maybe I'm underestimating him. I'd like him to be a piece here, just not a main one from what I've seen.Only 4 games but 10ppg at a power conference school shooting 45/35 is better than 9th man on a top Big Ten team, I know your whole thing is just hating on shit, but doesn't it get old. I'm not panicking but Grove in the top 9 would be a problem. He should be the 3rd option at the 4 or 5. I look forward to him sticking around and contributing more as a sophomore, but relying on him this year would be like relying on Betts last year. Not his time yet.Asuma, Kyan Evans and Amot would be a real nice start. When knows, maybe Grove has a great summer and is ready as well. You should find new teamMedved killin' it up in here.
Pretty indecisive aren’t you?As usual, I'll wait to watch him play, and only then will I know what we have.
I’m not saying you’re wrong, I have no clue. I’m curious why you seem so certain this is the case?I'm not panicking but Grove in the top 9 would be a problem. He redshirted last year and I saw him play in the exhibition games. I'm not saying he's a bust, he just has a lot of work ahead of him yet.I’m not saying you’re wrong, I have no clue. I’m curious why you seem so certain this is the case?
Sort of cooling in him if he really thinks he’s gonna play in the NBA next year. That little guy needs college and competition. Then we’ll talk.
He won't do that...he gets off on picking inane fights over non-arguments. Reading would take too much time.Show me where I said Poor Niko.....the tweet says he picked South Carolina over Kansas, Kentucky, Gonzaga and others.....so yeah he had his pick of pretty much any school in the country and he picked someone other than us....
If you are going to make claims about me at least make them about something I actually said instead of making crap up just to be an ahole.
Serves me right for hitting show ignored content. Guess I hoped you would turn over a new leaf now that Ben is gone but I see you are still the same ahole you were when Johnson was coaching.
Morez is a loss for Illinois. He was a freshman who averaged 7 an 6 this season and was offered $1,000,000 for next season as a rebounder/rim runner. His dad wanted him to shoot threes and be a bigger part of the offense to prepare for next level. That is Ivisic. Other schools have offered almost doubled what Illinois offered. I’ve seen $1.8 million. I’ll be interested if he shoots a lot of threes for his new school.![]()
EDITORIAL: Please don’t vilify Morez Johnson and his decision
As a fan base, we have to do better than this.www.thechampaignroom.com
Getting wild out there with the portal. A big pick up whomever gets Morez Johnson.
He's big and decent athleticism, skill wise he had a ways to go but if Crowl can play at Wisconsin Grove surely can find a role at Minnesota. I have to think he's got way more potential. He redshirted last year and I saw him play in the exhibition games. I'm not saying he's a bust, he just has a lot of work ahead of him yet.
Sure, and Crowl didn't contribute very much as a Freshman. His breakout year was during his Sophomore season. I'm hopeful Grove has a similar trajectory. Wisconsin also has a long history of developing players into contributors by their Sophomore seasons, MN not so much. He's big and decent athleticism, skill wise he had a ways to go but if Crowl can play at Wisconsin Grove surely can find a role at Minnesota. I'd take him if Medved wants him. Just like everyone I am itching for that first transfer to sign!
I dont think Gard is too upset about losing him
I didn’t pay any attention to him this year. Do you (or anyone else) know if his lack of playing time was an issue with skill, motivation, opportunity, or something else?I dont think Gard is too upset about losing him

Obviously hard to say but Tonje/Blackwell/Klesmit/McGee is a pretty solid backcourt group, tough to crack that. Little surprised Janicki got more time than him but he played well. As noted in other threads, love Asuma but guessing he would not have seen substantial playing time behind those 4.I didn’t pay any attention to him this year. Yeah, much easier to just pretend someone is saying the thing you want to rip them about then to actually take the time to read what that person writes.....He won't do that...he gets off on picking inane fights over non-arguments. Reading would take too much time.
Yeah, true freshman on a good team is going to have to be really special right away to get significant playing time.Obviously hard to say but Tonje/Blackwell/Klesmit/McGee is a pretty solid backcourt group, tough to crack that. From what I saw, and I watched some games this year when he got in at garbage time, it was a lack of skill and decision making. Usually had more turnovers than anything else. Seemed out of control with pretty bad decision making. Hope he gets that cleaned up wherever he goes. He's young, so I wouldn't write him off completely.I didn’t pay any attention to him this year.
