2024-25 Wild Season

This team is damn impressive right now how they respond. Lost a tough one to a good Dallas team short handed. Come right back and beat a rival on the road.

You know how you end up with a good record? Avoid big losing streaks. Ground breaking I know.

As for the BG convo.

Everything I’ve seen from him tells me he will be ready to add on key pieces when those albatrosses are finally gone. It’s always been building towards next year and I’m confident he will do what’s needed. This year is all gravy. We should be very good for many years starting next year if done right.

Now if this were the twins, I’d be petrified. With the twins, If young guys achieve ahead of schedule and a team shocks they go “meh, nvm let’s not add anyone. We will roll with this and pray it’s not a fluke for a decade.”

To be clear, I'm not saying BG has been a failure or even a disappointment. I'm just saying with how he's talking he has really framed it as "once these contracts are gone I can finally start building this roster up". So he will need to deliver sooner rather than later on that.

If you are underestimating or giving Guerin no credit for getting Kaprizov back on US soil without incident the past couple years, you haven’t been paying attention. He won’t talk much about it, but I’m betting he was critical to the process.

A lot of guys in their mid 30's on the 2025 NHL Free Agent list. Brock Boeser would certainly be a nice addition.

I was so pissed when they didn't take him in the draft and took Erickson Ek instead. Looked like they screwed up big time for a couple years but not so much now. I absolutely love Erickson Eks game now but would love to see Boeser in a Wild jersey and be playing in his backyard

Edmonton are a bunch of cheap shot players. Kaprizov hurt and down the runway. It was a knee to knee hit and no penalty.

Kaprizov did return to the game. so that good news.

Man I love this team right now

And we keep doing it with a massively road heavy schedule

I think Kap sold it pretty good. Hell he was out on the ice in no time. I will admit I held my breath for a bit

That’s great. Need more production from him. I would trade him, if they could get something in return. Bad contract. Good locker room guy, yes. Need more production.
Nobody is trading for him

That contract was definitely a head scratcher

Sucks that we suck so bad(like most Wild teams) in OT/SOs

but still that's a hell of a point on the road. down 2 late. Tie it up. No Kirill.

This team has something. Ill take 5/6 pts on the road yet again.

Anyone watch tonight? I had my bantam practice so missed it

I thought the Wild played gritty, tough hockey but the gap in overall talent was the difference. The Jets seem to be able to play any style of hockey that the game requires. They're obviously very good.

Thanks Slim. I think that embarrassing first round loss last season pissed them off, especially Hellebuyck

I like the Wild on the puck line tonight, on the road against Buffalo (not a good team).

Another unique betting split on this game on the 1.5 puck line:

64% of the tickets are on Buffalo
86% of the money is on the Wild

Pros definitely hitting the Wild hard, and I'm right there with them! GO WILD!!

To be fair, missing Zuc and Khusnutdinov hurts us pretty bad. Wild came out on fire and had half a dozen grade A scoring chances early. Play leveled off, then the second half of the game tilted towards the Jets. Still, the Wild generated ton of shots and good chances. Game easily could have gone the other way.

Got the W

Haven't been playing real clean lately, but I'll take wins. Need Zucc back to balance the lines more

We do have to start playing better hockey at home. Not just talking W/Ls but seems like a lot of sloppy play and tight games at home.

We have an advantage of playing way more road games so far, but have to win at home to make that impactful!

That icing call with 30 seconds left was so bad. Foligno got hosed big time
