Any idea what the kerfuffle was after the game with Zuccarello and others jawing at the refs and Duck players before heading down the tunnel?Wild win 5-2 but it sure felt closer than that. Ducks in the second period were all over them but thanks to Gus and the Ducks missing the net they only got one goal. The Thrill with another 3 point night with 2 goals and a helper. So fun to watch
I missed thatAny idea what the kerfuffle was after the game with Zuccarello and others jawing at the refs and Duck players before heading down the tunnel?
The teams got into a scuffle as time elapsed but this didn't seem related to that.I missed that
And Spurgeon went down in the third. Gus with his first shutout of the season. Man he's playing well so farExcellent win. Not because of the opponent but because we lost two key players in Eck and Zuccarrello early and shut them out with 10 forwards.
Brodin was already out tooAnd Spurgeon went down in the third. Gus with his first shutout of the season. Man he's playing well so far
Very true but it would not surprise me if they go on a bit of slump when they hit the road again. I mean nobody thought they'd have this kind of start. Enjoying it now no doubtBrodin was already out too
We need guys to get healthy quick. Very tough schedule here coming up and about to head right back on the road after Dallas on Saturday. So many road games.
He plays as a first liner now when the other team has an empty net. I feel like he never did under Dean Evason. I couldn’t figure out why. He’s incredibly good along the boards where a lot of the 6-on-5 action takes place. He aggressively tries to score goals and has the skill to make them happen - either for himself, like tonight, where he set himself up, or setting up others. The Thrill with 2 more tonight and is now at 13 for the season. 50 is a real possibility
He is so damn good along the wall and I've never seen a player do more mohawks in a game than Kap. Be interesting to see who Billy brings in next season when those 2 hideous contracts are up at the end of this season. He’d be great on the PK too, but I wouldn’t want him out there blocking shots. Way too valuable to increase that risk.
I'll be interested too, because Billy has been milking that excuse for at least a couple of years now. Put up or shut up time for BG next year.He is so damn good along the wall and I've never seen a player do more mohawks in a game than Kap. Excuse? Hell it's handcuffed him since he became GM and quite frankly I think he's done a pretty good job with it. Not real happy with his Foligno contract but other than that he's been pretty decent in my opinionI'll be interested too, because Billy has been milking that excuse for at least a couple of years now. He's the one who bought those guys out in the first place. He's made some good moves (EE and Boldy extensions to name a couple), and has made a lot of trades that have shuffled pieces around without notable improvement. By no means am I saying to get rid of him tomorrow but at some point this roster needs to show notable improvement.Excuse? Now I'm not saying they are Stanley Cup contenders yet but I'm seeing improvement this season. The young guys have done well considering they are getting more ice time because of injuries. I doubt this type of success continues but I'm going to enjoy it until there is a bump in the road and there will be at least one of thoseHe's the one who bought those guys out in the first place. Not to mention a 2.07 GA thus far to lead the NHL. He earns it, too.
I agree with both of you guys. It's was a bold move to buy those guys out and develop some of the younger guys. He's the one who bought those guys out in the first place.
