***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT COLORADO IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Irving is the 2nd RB this team needs, now just need a 3rd to at least look serviceable. Williams fumbled his first time in today, and was yanked right away.

***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT COLORADO IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Say what you will, but Tanner either has really regressed from 2 yrs ago, or having Bateman and Johnson was the driving force of his excellence.

***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT COLORADO IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

If you watch the Colorado coach on the sidelines, he is the least engaged college football coach I have seen in a while. He does not look like a communicator or inspiring individual on the sidelines, which is essential in the college game in my opinion. It looks like he has been primarily NFL...

Minnesota Head Basketball Coach Want List

Exactly, a dam good coach, but yeah that whole incident makes certain folks/AD's leery of course, an idea.

Minnesota Head Basketball Coach Want List

What about Chris Jans? His teams play defense at about a high of a level as you can ask, from Iowa too!

Minnesota Head Basketball Coach Want List

Question about Chris Jans, is his sexual incident that got him fired from I believe Bowling Green going to keep our AD from giving him a serious look? This guy has won everywhere he has been, and has done so at a high level in the short amount of time he has coached D1. Any thoughts on him...

    I've Seen Enough

Yeah agree, he has fallen off the last few years, and there are other coaches out there who have more upside. Having a few straight down years is not a sign of excellence at the next level up, power 5 conference, in my opinion. Its great he is Midwest and has ties in the area, but the ability...

I don't know what to think about this team

What are you getting at man? The freaking head coach, wow

I don't know what to think about this team

I believe he goes by Richard the III Pitino. Clearly he has made some coaching mistakes that have cost him a few games potentially, but the lack of depth and quality of the roster is more of a factor in my opinion.

I don't know what to think about this team

Your predictions were too lofty I hate to say. This team was even overachieving at .500 this year, we have no depth, and other than Oturu and Carr, who can we count on? We didn't even know Carr would be this good coming into the year too. I say a .500 record in conference is a success at the...

    I've Seen Enough

Totally agree, you can tell he is very invested in the school as well. It's not like he just went there a few years ago, and has been jumping around. He is a fixture there, was groomed for the job then given it, and the fact that he has been enjoying the area for such a long time also shows he...

    I've Seen Enough

Either Brian Dutcher or Craig Smith. I think Craig will be easier to get at the end of the year between the two, and I like him just as much, if not more.

    Eric Musselman

Yes well I am not saying Mussleman would be the worst hire, I just feel like there are better fits. My number one reason for this is that I don't like the idea of him coaching in his dad's footsteps at the U. Yes it is a subjective call, but I just feel like a hinderance is created in the...

    Eric Musselman

Musslemen is not what is needed, Craig Smith looks like as solid of an option as we could hope for.

Is Craig Smith the PJ Fleck of basketball coaches?

I second this! I watched a few games they played last year, and he runs a solid program, has a connection to MN, I say why not. I seem to have lost Coyle's direct cell phone number, could some one please contact Coyle about gopher fans wanting Craig Smith now!

    Lets Be Real

Yes this season was no smashing success, but to act as if what occurred was an utter failure, you are seriously mistaken. Pitino came in as a very young coach, with much upside, and potential for downside of course. Right now we experiencing some growing pains, they are part of the process...

Not a Dig: Just Dont Have the Players Yet

This is not meant to bash the team, I still plan on watching many games this year, and like the direction of the program, just a realist. This may seem obvious to many of you, but as of right now on our team we just dont have the caliber of players needed to make some noise this year. Even...

    Another REad Option Thread

(Warning: I posted a similar one last week that was deemed stupid by gopher Nation) I just wanted to point out that Leidner is performing the option read ( or whatever you want to call it) much better this week, and has given this offense a dimension it has lacked much of the year, due to...

    Question about Blocked Kicks

I am by no means an expert on the kicking game, and so was curious in knowing who is typically at fault for a blocked field goal. Since after a blocked field goal the TV's always zoom in on the Kicker as if it was solely his fault. Isn't a combination of the blockers, good push up front by the...

    Leidner and the Option REad

Im sorry but Leidner really is inept at knowing when to hand off to Cobb, and when to keep it himself. I really dont care if we we lose this game, but I do care that Leidner is still unable to grasp the timing and understanding to keep the option read more. It is such a big part of this...
