59!
For
59 we go back to 1992 for a bright spot in an otherwise dismal season of Golden Gopher Football.
In the 1992 game between the Minnesota Golden Gophers and the Iowa Hawkeyes, the Gophers defeated the Hawkeyes 28-13. The game, played on November 21, 1992, at the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome, saw Minnesota overcome a 13-10 deficit to secure the victory. A key factor in the win was the performance of backup quarterback Rob St. Sauver, who led the Gophers to three touchdowns after replacing the injured starter, Marquel Fleetwood.
The game was put away with St. Sauver's
59 yard TD pass in the fourth quarter to Aaron Osterman.
