2025 Transfer Portal Watch

Rutgers' freshman center, Lathan Sommerville, hit the portal. This guy played in the shadows of the two heralded freshmen this season but I liked him and thought he had potential. He's certainly big enough. He was also an 86% free throw shooter. He's from the Peoria area so we're a lot closer to home than Rutgers.

I wonder what it’s like to be 6’10 275.

Excellent shooter: led the Sunbelt in 3 pt percentage (.408), .854 free throw shooter, 3rd in the Sunbelt in True Shooting Percentage (.615).

He's only a soph. I like that the coach is going after younger guys. A new coach has a fresh clock and a free pass in year one so now is the time to get younger guys that can be around for at least two years.

Here are all 40 of Treyson Eaglestaff's points from the Alabama game.

Of course vast majority of transfers haven't yet committed. According to 247 sports top 125 transfers, at this point Iowa has the #1 rated transfer and Indiana the #7.

Some other notables and their transfer rank:
18. Eaglestaff (und)
19. Oscar Cliff (sdsu)
26. Jacari White (ndsu)
101. Tyler Cochran (gophs)

Iowa loses two if the top ten, in Dix #4 and Freeman #8, and 6 of the Top 54!!

Thanks for posting this golf, one of my favorite things to do is peruse this list for noteworthy names. Although I don’t see All Wight listed, he’s got a spot on my all name list, along with:
Mister Dean (#48, SG)
Zarique Nutter (#69, SF)-you can’t convince me he was #70 on the list, but someone with an 8th grade humor at 24/7 bumped him up a spot
James Evans, Jr. (#123, SF) Word is, his game is dy-no-mite!
George Washington III (#125) Obviously he needs to end up with the Revoluntionaries (anyone else caught unaware by this name change for GWU?)

Hard to beat Mister Dean 🙂
