All Things 2025 Minnesota Twins In-Season Thread

Sounds like you did anyway.

The lids looked spiffy with the retro logo, "m".
I flip to twins games here and there. Get bored quickly and watch something else. I rarely see them score runs.

It's was 1-0 in the seventh, I switched off, came back and Duran was being interviewed.

I probably saw 20 minutes of this game.

It will be the same tomorrow.

A true Fan!!!!!

From what I hear, Jeffers and Jax are the most likely to move soon, and are actively looking for a trade partner.

The Jeffers is not happy with the news, as Lexi is due to deliver their new baby on Monday, and they both love being here.

Trading Jeffers makes zero sense. He's still under team control next year and they have absolutely nothing in the minors that's even close to ready to catch in the bigs. But this organization does lots that makes zero sense.

I think they'll make a few minor trades but I would rather just have the Twins hold on to as many players as possible. Do you trust Falvey to make the right moves at this point? I don't.

The Twins desperately need to be sold so that the owners can clean house. The Twins issues feel more like development/coaching issues than talent issues right now.

What if they get a young Catcher prospect in return (either from trading Jeffers or one of their Pitchers)?

If they also trade Ryan, Jax & Duran then there's not really a big need to hang on to Jeffers. Full on rebuild.

With ownership in flux.......the twins aren't into the future or a rebuild.

If they do anything, it's probably just to cut salary and nothing more.

The latest ownership buzz was that there's a group back by a super-secret and mysterious "big fish" closing in on a deal. I'm not going to hold my breath on that one.

Blow it up. Blow it up real good.

Neither does standing pat, spinning their wheels and eventually getting less or nothing for their tradable assets.

Their tradeable assets are in their 20s. They have a bunch of position players just entering the majors or will enter the majors within the next year.

Advocating for blowing up a young roster is the epitome of spinning your wheels.

The objective is for the assets received back will help those young position players.

To me it's clear, if they get an incredible offer for Ryan who's more than willing to bail and unlikely to be here at the finish line in 2027, then proceed with the "blow it up real good plan".

If Ryan is going to be here in 2026 at least, then it's more debatable and contingent on the return for each trade.

Back to Jeffers who sparked the debate (and begins Paternity Leave today) he's far from untouchable, especially given his defensive limitations and only 1 year of team control.
