My prediction: he'll make a big shot in an NCAA game.Bench #10...Grayson Groves
There's clearly a balance. Unless or until things change with the portal, you have to play the game to be on the game. Fleck adapted quickly.I don't expect my preferred, romantic version of college hoops will ever return and I'm not sure Portal shopping will come close to filling that void. I'm still excited about getting the best players we can, though. Winning would help.
You may want to find a lower level D2 or D3 school to cheer for then. Those days are over, you are likely to have a minimum of 50% roster turnover most every year at D1.
Bottom of this threads first post is for you bro. Not in any particular order.Could we get a tally of the current roster on the front end of one of these threads, like @SelectionSunday and his road to the tournament thread?

Same make and model. I have better ball control.
That is how i understood the references as well. That's not how I took it, don't think it was a jab. Came across to me like Niko was comparing the Barn to Cameron and the Phog, with all 3 being old buildings that lack modern amenities.
The black hightop ones are my go to's.We’ll allow, but only if you also rock old school Chuck Taylors.
Welcone to the team. I got a crisp $100 for hard screens vs IA.The black hightop ones are my go to's.
I only wore Jack Purcell’s till the toes blew out. Correction. Then I continued to wear them. We’ll allow, but only if you also rock old school Chuck Taylors.
With ducktape!I only wore Jack Purcell’s till the toes blew out. Correction. Then I continued to wear them.
What can I say, the man knows footwear.I only wore Jack Purcell’s till the toes blew out. Correction. Then I continued to wear them.
To be honest, I don’t think we had duct tape back then. With ducktape!
We had it in the 70s at least. Used it on hiking shoes, paddles, and food packs in BWCA.To be honest, I don’t think we had duct tape back then.
I think that is the goal, but it takes time to build a culture. There will be expectations, but no players that have played under those expectations (to reinforce the message). So, I think the first year will have more structure, but it will get better the next year.I'm looking forward to seeing a team that is prepared to start the season in shape and with a clear understanding of their role in the offense and defense! I feel like the past few seasons the team took a really long time to figure that out, in some cases I felt like there were players that never fully understood their role on the team.

Don’t deny you had it in the 70’s. By then most young people had moved on to Adidas. We had it in the 70s at least. Used it on hiking shoes, paddles, and food packs in BWCA.
I always wore the Blue low top Keds. Of course, I never played basketballThe black hightop ones are my go to's.

Don’t worry. It’s already happening. If they don’t kill the no-sit transfer, it’s over - the best days are behind. You may want to find a lower level D2 or D3 school to cheer for then. Those days are over, you are likely to have a minimum of 50% roster turnover most every year at D1.
Converse All Stars, too. Keds?Don’t deny you had it in the 70’s. By then most young people had moved on to Adidas.
I think it's over. The moment they started seeing it through the lens of a "restraint on trade", it was over because it's almost impossible to undo. Because of the NIL rulings, it has become exponentially more and more like a normal job. While it might have been a close call initially, it's not a close call anymore at all (because of the ruling).Don’t worry. It’s already happening. Adding to this - - Niko plays a lot of guards (6-7 guards usually get 10+ minutes per game) and he has a tighter rotation with his big men.Construction will consist of 5-6 starter quality players, probably another 2-4 rotation players, 2-3 with experience that might have to play if injuries mount. and 2-3 projects or development players.
Interesting insight. Question: Would it be legal for the NCAA to reinstate the one year sit out transfer rule? In my opinion, this is what ruins it. College players have more freedom than professional players. Forcing an athlete to sit out an entire year if they want to transfer would obviously cut down on transfers by about 90%, along with the five to play four rule (which I’m not even sure is still in place or is at the very least being challenged)?I think it's over. They also can't contract with the players like a normal job because of Title IX - so you cannot establish 2/3 contracts with built-in geographic non-compete clauses.
The NCAA really is between a rock and a hard place. I'm by no means an NCAA apologist, but I don't know what the move really is. They would need Congressional limitations on Title IX and a Congressional Antitrust Exception.
well be interesting if he continues to play as much small ball as he did at CSU moving forwardAdding to this - - Niko plays a lot of guards (6-7 guards usually get 10+ minutes per game) and he has a tighter rotation with his big men.
He may play more bigs if he has bigs that can fit into his schemes effectively, i.e. Athletic, quick and skilled.well be interesting if he continues to play as much small ball as he did at CSU moving forward
