All Things 2024-25 College Basketball Other Games Thread

Another one for you. Vanderbilt - A&M last night. First time I've watched much of Vandy this year, and man Byington can coach, and they play at a high level. Road win for Vandy and it's not like A&M played poorly. . .
Any Vanderbilt W is also good for a Drake team firmly on the bubble thanks to the NET/Quad system. Hard to imagine a team that beat this Vandy team by double digits on a neutral court on the outside looking in, but just win your own Conference tourney and nothing matters.

Good one going on in East Lansing: Wisconsin off to an early 10 point lead then...
WI player drives and is fouled as he starts his lay in; makes hoop and an and-1 foul called.
Izzo goes nuts and another official overrules and makes it non shooting foul. I don't think I've seen that done before. Then MSU goes on 12-0 run with the momentum change.

And we can't get a 10 second violation reviewed? B10 refs are so bad and biased

As long as it hurts Wisconsin I’m sympathetic to it.

has minnesota ever played a game on CBS (regular season)?

The last time was 14 years ago, on January 29, 2011. The 16th ranked Gophers played at #12 Purdue, and lost by 12. The Gophers beat #8 Purdue at home a few weeks before that.

They also had 2 regular season games on CBS in 2010.

Drake at home trying to lose arguably the biggest upset in Missouri Valley history after clinching the league and remove any hope of an at large. Missouri St has fewer wins (2) in the Valley than Drake has losses all year (3). March Madness starting early this year.

The best will always be when they beat Bobby Knight 106-56.

Drake with 2 free throws with less than 10 seconds remaining in back to back weeks to force OT. Missouri state shoots 10-16 from 3, but goes cold as Drake wins 68-60 in OT. Crazy season for the Bulldogs 27-3.

Now that's a fun memory. I can still remember the color guy, I think it was Al Maguire, saying Kolander is playing like an all American.

ouch that was the beginning of losing 12 out of 13 to end the season

Illinois scores 62 points in the last 19 min or so against Michigan and blows them out on the road. Wild

Well, something I’ve never seen before. Austin Peay up seven on North Florida in an ASUN playin game is in a delay because a Peay player puked 🤢 up from the bench and spewed it all over the floor.

This just happened earlier this year in a Duke game... The Duke player that hurled was actually on the court playing when it happened. I don't recall how much of a delay it caused.

Northwestern on 11-0 run in a minute and a half to get down 3 with 33 seconds to go.

Refs with 2 awful calls to seal the win for UCLA. Unreal

The refs were terrible down the stretch. The out of bounds call in favor of UCLA. They let NW foul UCLA in the comeback and then Martinelli got mugged. I think the intentional- they had no choice on.
