I've never seen a QB sneak where the QB is right behind the line... some of the line ends up 3 yard forward ... and they still blow it.


It's magical.

Some poor Missouri DL are for sure thinking "Damn they got it ...uh wat?"

The above was the sequence.....I was struggling on who to cheer for TBH....my question was on the 3rd down pass, the spot was very questionable (i thought it was a 1st down) In college is there a mechanism to get a review of the spot or did Iowa screw up by not calling their last TO to make it happen?

I struggled with it too. Basically it was a win/win. Either Iowa loses or the SEC drops another game.

Also.....that QB sneak was an abomination.

To be fair to the qb, the leaping guy totally destroys the ability go forward. And at least 2 Missouri guys are offside. That said, love to see Iowa lose in hilarious fashions such as this

They do indeed win a game or two. I’m aware.
 






I still have a hard time considering Mizzou a real SEC team, and I hate Iowa, so I wasn't bothered by the result. That ending, watching Iowa's offense implode while Ferentz looking like he just soiled himself, was pure chef's kiss. Now, Illinois has a tough task against a very good SC team and Michigan has zero offense but I hope the BIG can handle business today.

Yeah those guys we definitely offsides. I mean, they were inches away from each other!

Yeah the SEC chants are so stupid. When the Gophers played Mizzou in the bowl game I was there and they fired that out towards the end of the game. I asked my buddy, can you imagine saying B! I! G! B! I! G! He was like, no we are not that dumb…we might go into the rouser but no chanting about the conference. So stupid!

Too bad Oregon and OSU have to play each other so early.

Time to root for Meatchicken against another team I despise…The Crimson Tide of Alabama (insert Keith Jackson voice)
 

Also Ferentz made a head scratching move with the score tied at 14. On Missouri’s 40 yard line on 4th and two, Iowa took a delay of game to set up a punt instead of going for it or attempting a fg.

Missouri drove 42 yards on the next possession but didn’t cross the 50

Then Iowa scored on the next possession.

We’re up 21-14 at half.


Had they gone for it and not gotten it…all else being equal Missouri’s 4th and 10 from the Iowa 48 would’ve been a 4th and 10 from the Iowa 18 and they may have been down 17-14

They may have ended up being 21-17 at half anyways and it may have all played out completely different. But the way the next two drives played out, IMO vindicated that decision
 

Have a really hard time seeing Michigan stay within 21 today with all the guys they have out. Will be interesting to see how long Alabama’s guys play
 

I hope Michigan and Bama end up in a tie.

Well just whine a little about missed opportunities seeing Illinois and the bowl game they are in compared to the one we are in is a buzz kill. We’re in a longish bad streak of shitty bowl games that we need to break next year. That said, still looking forward to kickoff on the third.

Lmao I am happy to be wrong and watch a team people said should’ve been in the playoff get absolutely smacked in the teeth while they play their starters and their opponent had most of their stats sitting out

This finish will make next year a real pivotal one for DeBoer which is kind of wild with the fact he could’ve gone anywhere after his time at Washington
