Other Bowl Games Thread

When you consider Hunter is very good at 2 positions, Colorado essentially has 3 of the top players in all of college football. Their best win the past two seasons is against Baylor.

Sanders has done a nice job but with how talented those two guys are and how easy of a schedule they’ve had, I’d consider the results rather disappointing.

Good grief, enough with the Sanders' ass kissing. You know, the asses that are getting kicked by BYU.

TEAM versus individual skill. I've seen quite a few screen shots today saying Travis #1, Shadeur #3 in the draft. Really? I don't get it
What's not to get? NFL is looking for the individual talents which is why Hunter and Shadeur will go high in the draft because no matter what you think of them they are very talented athletes.

That said, if I was a GM I would not want Shadeur as my QB so glad the Vikings won't be in a position to draft him. For his sake he needs to go to a great system because if he doesn't he is going to be a bust along the lines of Johnny Manziel. Talented college player, but doesn't have the right mindset to succeed in the NFL.

Hunter will go in the first few picks because there just aren't many people on the planet that can do what he can do on a football field. To play at the level he plays at on both offense and defense is extremely impressive.

Sanders turned Colorado into the villain and I would bet there are lots of people thrilled at how BYU kicked the crap out of Colorado tonight.....I know I enjoyed watching it.

And neither one should be that high in the draft. No way #1 and #3.

Big 10 conference needs a tie in to the Pop Tarts bowl. That bowl game always gets a lot of publicity and views.

And then if he leaves for something else? Is CU actually in a better spot than before he came in? I suppose.

Seems like a smash n grab deal.

He is 8-10 in conference and has made the university millions in apparel dollars

This year was Colorado’s 4th winning season in conference play since 2003 and one of those 4 was a 3-1 Covid year

I don't consider Shadeur Sanders one of the top players in college football. Stat padder from a conference that's barely above the MAC. He and Ward are in the top-tier of draft-eligible QBs this season, but both will be a reach if they are taken in the Top 10.

I’m sure the bowl games on the 31st will be watched by many on tv while everyone is at work 🙄

The bit on apparel is an interesting point I had not fully considered.

My understanding (could be wrong) is schools sign with a company (say Under Armor) for a flat amount, that does not change regardless how sales do. Still, more sales can only be a good thing in general.
