Ben's best coaching moments have been on nights where he had minimal options to work with.
Last year's team was very, very limited in ability with limited options. While it was undermanned it was pretty well coached. The game against Rutgers last year with players missing and last night's game were examples. Last night, despite the loss, you have to hand it to Ben and the kids- very well played!
Where he is having trouble is integrating into the scheme and using kids with higher end talent such as Payne, Garcia and Henley (who has talent but is wild). One of the problems he obviously created was too many 4's and not enough shooters and playmakers. Working with better/deeper rosters is something Ben is going to have to come to grips with. Figuring out how to work with what the guys he has and what they can do to mesh....
