Dainja is going to be a really good player. Hopefully its for the Gophers. He is a monster. I love his build and he can get more fit/stronger. Will be a handful for anyone day one. Gophers never have guys built like him.

He looks like a less in shape Caleb Swanigen. Coach Pitino knows how to get big men in shape!

Less in shape? Maybe Swanigan in college, but he was over 3 bills in High School.

This. Dainja looks like Swanigan after years of work and dieting. I read an article just now that Swanigan was 6'2", 360lbs in 8th grade.

Really want him and Garcia

The team probably needs another 20-win season and run in the tournament to even have a shot. The program needs positive momentum or it will always just look like the hometown team without any real credibility to most big-time recruits.

Man good thing Jarvis J., Amir, Daniel, and Gabe didn't agree with that logic.

the vast majority....

None of those guys ended up as Top #50 recruits and none will have the offer lists that Garcia and Dainja will have.

of top recruits still commit in the summer and sign in the fall, before a game is even played. That dynamic is changing, but my guess is 80% of the top 200 sign before one game of the college season is played.

Daniel and Amir were both top 50 and had offers from Arizona, Iowa St. and Kansas. Jarvis had offers from Mich St. and others too. How is Dain going to top those?

Those guys will likely sign before the Gopher season even starts. Gophers have a good shot with Garcia, they arent getting Dainja(sorry fellas, theres just very little chance of it happening). Also the trio of Garcia Carlson and Dainja will be going to different schools, they all play the same position.

You got info on Dainja?

Carlson is probably going to Stanford or Sconnie, but that has nothing to do with positional overlap.

We have an equally good shot with both Garcia and Dainja, and they would actually complement each other very well (if you've seen them play).

His dad played here and he would be a great legacy player. Pitino wants him.

The PF position will be wide open his freshman year. Garcia could replace Coffee at the 3. With Oturo and Gabe. We would be amazing. Suggs would have a hard time passing that team up knowing they could be a final four team with him.

It’s all coming together.
