***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA VS MICHIGAN, MAROON OUT GAME IN-GAME THREAD***

16/19 from the line? Proof they don't matter I guess...

Refs screwed us over this game. Two bad calls against us in the last minute. Sent from my HTC6525LVW using Tapatalk

Good teams don't let refs decide the game. They are in a position to win regardless of what the calls are. We had chances. But when you play like crap in the first half, that is what happens. That is why this team is still winless in the B1G Ten. We lost because we aren't a good team right now, not because of the officiating.

Now when we want to foul them they won't call it. Go figure.

All that effort to come back and they didn't cover. Lol.

When we need points, I still would want King in there more than almost anyone else

We need rebounds to get shots and King doesn't play defense.

Wish Pitino would have gotten a T on that blown travel call. Force the ref to know that his call closed the door.

See what Spencer, Mike, and Pitino has to say on the post game.......

Were not a good team, and I would never say that. But when you're one of the worst teams in the conference and you make a run to come back, two calls like that kill all the momentum.

Play with the intensity they showed last 8 minutes and they would have won that game easily. This team will be so much better next year. Good things are coming. Better players more depth and experienced gained.

I hope so. I'm becoming less and less a believer that this will happen. I just don't see the improvement out of this young team I thought we would.

I would question why we aren't seeing the intensity all game?

They better have an emotional floor leader who leads by effort and learn some defensive fundamentals or it'll be all for naught.

I'll agree there. It does kill momentum. But, it certainly isn't the single thing that cost them the game. There is a whole list of other things that cost the team the game.

I am just never a fan of those statements about officiating unless it's poor calls that transpires over the entire game, which tonight it did not.

That is the critical question. I doubt we will get a direct answer.

Selfishness, and poor leadership are often the culprits.

Agreed about the fact that officiating wasn't all together terrible... But at those particular points in time, regardless of the preceding game, bad calls sure as sh*t help Michigan close the door.

The bottom line is that this is the worst season in Gopher Men’s Basketball history.

Show up and play a smidgen of actual defense in the first half, knowing what we know the second half was, and the officials are in no position to "decide" the game. We probably win by 10 or more. We have yet to play a complete game, hence why we are winless in the B1G Ten. Officials are the last thing I'd blame in any loss. You win by controlling the things you can control. Like playing defense.

Very happy to see the good effort to get back into the game when with the way things were going I could have easily seen this one getting out of hand in the 2nd half. Michigan is a good shooting team and they were pretty close to lights out while the Gophers had some very good looks especially in the 1st half but couldn't hit anything. The refs also did the Gophers no favors letting Michigan get away with a few key fouls, a travel, and 5 second call while hitting the Gophers with some very questionable calls on the defensive end on a couple blocks that instead turn into points. Definitely had some defensive breakdowns again led by the usual suspects of the upperclassmen and Konate. Buggs had a number of open corner 3s tonight on good drive and kick plays and I don't think he hit any but by the end of the game I was picturing Fitzgerald or Hurt getting those same type of opportunities next year and thinking how big of difference just making 3 of those looks could be.

I certainly saw that from Mason in the second half
