He wasn't at camp yesterday, was he? If not that is disappointing to hear. I know everybody was saying that were full at O-line and would only take a 5th if it were a Juco or a 4 star caliber but I always felt that he might blow the coaches away and earn an offer. If he was at camp and we still didn't offer then I can live it. I know he wasn't at the first one day senior camp last week.
 

Kasl wasn't at the camp yesterday, he decided to go to a Wisconsin mini camp on Friday and a Chicagoland Showcase camp on Saturday instead. :(
 

There doesn't appear to have been mutual interest with Kasl. I'm OK with that.

Since I'm pretty sure that we're all in agreement in that the Governor's Victory Bell is the worst of our trophies can anyone enlighten me as to why pics of it showed up in two recent recruits' tweets?

You would think with two recruits from Michigan they would have the Little Brown Jug in the photos.
 


Another in-state player commits to one of our rivals...Amani Hooker to Iowa. Like Kasl, we never offered. Ryan Burns has also said there are academic concerns with Hooker.

Yeah, sounds like he will have to go Juco route and that is why Kill and the staff never offered.

I want to win every single trophy available. But yes.........the Victory Bell is the worst of our trophies. That includes the $5 Bits of Broken Chair trophy.

It pisses me off when an in-state player goes to a conference rival. I care a little less when they never got a Gophers offer. Actually.....that is just proof that the Gophers are elevating their recruiting. The badgers and squaks are taking our leftovers.
 



Didn't want to start a new thread for this post, so, I think this is a close enough thread. I have a split opinion on Jim Harbaugh, part of me thinks he's somewhat clownish and part of me likes him (and glad he brings his personality to the Big Ten). If I was a Michigan fan, I'd be happy to have him. This post cracked me up regarding those satellite camps:

I have a buddy that played hockey at Michigan the same time Harbaugh was playing QB there, and he couldn't stand him. Said he could barely walk through a door because his ego was so huge. He was a dick then, and he's done nothing to change my mind about him.

I want to see him fail for a long time.

I also get a kick out of the media attention as well. Just last week there was a story on ESPN about him taking his shirt off at a camp.

Contrary to a published report earlier this spring, J.D. Spielman hasn’t verbally committed to the Gophers. Vikings general manager Rick Spielman told Sports Headliners yesterday the Gophers remain on the list of possible college destinations for his son who will be a senior football player at Eden Prairie High School next season.

Spielman said he and his son visited Michigan and coach Jim Harbaugh two weeks ago. Additional college visits are planned later this month but Spielman declined to identify the schools. J.D., who just finished his lacrosse season for Eden Prairie, has football offers from Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota and Nebraska. Spielman said his son is being recruited as an “athlete,” meaning he could play collegiately on offense, defense or special teams.

Gophers top TE target Albert Okwuegbunam received an offer from Michigan State. He said to be deciding towards the end of the summer.

I believe you could say that camp offers are starting to go out.
