YEEEEEEES!

Top 25, here we come! First win against a top 10 team since 2000. It's been said a million times before, but in Tubby, we trust! He had this team ready.

What fun! This is the marquee game we may need for our portfolio later!

Yes! great game the whole way except a little drought in the 2nd half, but great game. big win but now we have to remain focused! enjoy it tonight but get ready for the next game! we hit some big free throws down the stretch, have to love al's clutchness.

I just can't even believe this, this feels so good. I honestly didn't think we'd win this, I'll never underestimate our guys again!

GL, I didn't either. I was just hoping for a respectable showing. But we got so much more. I cannot WAIT for the BT kick off against MSU. And of course this Tuesday!!

Yessssssssssss. It was so exciting through the radio. The announcers of yahoo gopher basketball had me jumping out of my seat. Great game gophers and al nolen may be the best point guard in the big ten. 10-0. Yesssssssssss!!!!

Great Win for Tubby's Guys. Maybe our Gophers made what looked like a cupcake schedule the fact that OUR Gophers are a pretty dog-gone good basketball team. Congrats, Gophers. 10-0 now. GO GOPHERS!!!!!!

I couldn't believe it until it was over. I still can't believe it!! Man I'm pumped what a win!!!!

Hope we have a good crowd this Tuesday. They should get a standing ovation when they take the floor.

Al Nolen

The scouts who came to see Louisville saw the Al Nolen show instead. I didn't like hearing Pitino trying to get in his head yelling at the refs before consecutive foul shots that he was "out of control" but Nolen got the last laugh. Very impressive from start to finish. And man, don't give Tubby 10 days to prepare!

Agreed, Kindof

Someone was out of control, but it wasn't AL!

Great win by the Gophers! This was a big win for our March Madness hopes. We now have a quality non-conference victory over a top 10 team. Long was to go but this helps if we are on the bubble.

WTG Gophers!!!!!!!!

To be fair to Pitino, Al was out of control on that one play and deserved a charge, but the Gophers also deserved that break the way those three clowns we're calling that game.

yea, refs were atrocious today. both ways. That was one of the few calls i agreed on versus the thousands i didnt like (or what it seemed to be).

Great win for us, first game I've watched on TV in a while! On the other hand, just remember how much time to prepare we had and how many games they have had recently. Not to take anything away from the win, but let's not get overconfident. Simply put, we played great basketball and took advantage of their unfortunate schedule. Can't wait to get back to the Barn on tuesday!

To be fair...

I would call it borderline. There were plenty of poor calls made, some foul calls on the gophers come to mind, but Pitino carried on more than long enough, and Al carried on beautifully.

Great win today! I think this team will keep getting better and getting Paul Carter back, who was very good earlier in the year, won't hurt either.

One of the things that was most impressive from my stand point was the fact that the backcourt guys did such a good job of handling Louisville's pressure.

I was a little worried after watching how quickly the Cardinals had jumped on Ole Miss because of their ability to create pressure and then score in transition. But Nolen, Busch, Joseph and Hoff all did a really good job of handling the press. Westbrook had a tough day and I think he was putting too much pressure on himself to stand out in front of the home fans.

Also, the guys hit clutch free throws down the stretch, which was huge. And I LOVED the way Busch played today. He was all over the place.

All and all, things are looking pretty darn good for late December!!!:D

Pitino wasn't trying to get in his head, he was barking his case to the refs about the foul. He was saying, correctly, that Nolen was out of control on his drive and the foul bailed him out.

The refs were BRUTAL but it went both ways. Great win and I agree Nolen is incredible.

Al was fouled before he lost control. On the replay it looked like Al was blocked (kind of a hip check), which caused him to lose control. The foul should have gone against the L'ville player that blocked Al, not the player Al collided with.
