Woodson out for the season

It was officially announced this AM that Taylor Woodson is out for the season following her injury in the Manhattan game.

Thoughts and prayers to Taylor!
Damm! Was afraid of that when we saw it happen. Can't imagine how frustrating and disappointing that must be for her. I guess all you can do now is get it repaired, rehab and then decide if you want to continue to try and play hoops next year or after, or finish up your degree and move on to your "after hoops" career now. Either way, I hope to hear sometime in the future that she's happy and doing well.

Thoughts and Prayers to Taylor! Feel so bad for her and wonder if she will be able to come back from this to play. Two different legs and two braces won't be easy to play with I am sure.

Not sure how we can break this curse but it has really been devastating to the program:
Klick/Holloway
Braun
Braun/Woodson
Woodson

Oof I watched that game last night, woke up sick to my stomach. I feel just terrible for her.

Many Drs are going away from leg braces after an ACL tear. I’ve actually been surprised to see all the gophers still wearing them.

Really feel for Woodson. Moving forward this year, the addition of Brylee Glenn looms large for the season. Glenn is not an exact positional replacement for either Heyer or Woodson, but her court time should nonetheless be materially increased due to the absences of Heyer and Woodson.

Yeah Glenn, Christian, and Tonga will see increased minutes. Holloway seems to be moving better too, hopefully she can make a jump this year too. Stil wonder about the other Breshers sisters who has missed last two games with a minor injury. Does she have anything to offer this year?

Just pray we stay healthy the rest of the year..... still think we have enough to get to the tourney, but we can't afford anymore blows like this.

I did notice that Holloway doesn't have hers anymore. Surpriosed to see Klick still wearing one after two years.

I see Tonga playing the 5 spot for Hart(like she has been) . I see Christian getting Woodson’s minutes. The year of 4 guards….good thing all the guards are around 6 feet. I see Holloway as an as needed position.

Where does Klick stand. It sounds like before her injury she was going to be in the rotation. Any chance she will get a shot now?

Agree with your comments. So far Glenn appears to have more versatility and scoring potential than previous portal guards.

Last year, the injury to Braun forced McKinney into the starting lineup... she was a very pleasant surprise. Not unlike McKinney, Christian will have a quick and steep learning curve... I believe she up for it... like what I have seen so far. I believe she can help fill the gaps left by Heyer and Woodson, but with more scoring potential.

Holloway will continue to contribute in somewhat of a known way, but I don't see any great breakthroughs.

I believe Klick has increasing up side potential.

The large unknowns for me are Zoey & Tonga.

Bottom line is... I think we still have a team that will meet or exceed expectations.

Go Gophers!!

Klick has got to get stronger. She is also pretty slow (guessing that big brace does not help)
