Why did the name of this forum change?

Agreed. It is in poor taste. Once you name the forum after a coach you stay with it until he's not coach- like him or not. Then, in the future, don't name it after a coach.

Agree. It really isn't a big deal overall, but I thought it was a weak move.

I say we change it again for the Wiscy game this week, to Pendulum In Repose.

There were seven different threads debating a name change when it was Brew's Crew Message Board and we received at least a dozen e-mails from people asking for a name change. In an attempt to move on from a trivial matter, we figured a name change would put an end to these threads so the focus could be put back on the team/program/coaching situation. The name change was not a stance or opinion or anything like that, it was merely an attempt to squash that type of conversation, and apparently it didn't work. We tried deleting some of the threads debating a name change and then people got upset that we deleted the debate of a name change. We thought a simple change would end the debate but we were incorrect. Our biggest mistake may have been naming them after coaches to begin with, and for that we apologize. If you use the search function you will see that there are now 12 different threads discussing the name change (some love it, some don't) but we can assure you that we never expected this type of interest in our message board's name, especially the week of the Wisconsin game, but we are always looking for ways to improve this site and certainly appreciate the feedback, both good and bad.

The squeaky wheel gets the grease.

Suggestion: Next time the name is changed make it The Gopher Football Forum & Gopher Basketball forum.

It would probably be better to just let people discuss it, then to send a message to the coach of the football team that your board is supposed to support, that you no longer support him. Oh well. I appreciate your board and all of your work on it.

Make it Dungy's Dugout just to see how people react.

Yeah, demote him to TE coach/chili cook. I can deal with that.

Do we have proof that Brewster can throw together a good bowl of chili? Chances are the chili tastes really good at first, but soon after loses its identity. Is it a spicy chili? Is it a tomato-laden chili? Are there beans or no beans?

Incredibly poor taste. A very low moment for Gopher hole staff. Very dissapointing.

Why not disassociate yourself from the entire program. Pretty sad when the site that is suppose to be solidly rooted behind the program exhibits band wagon jumping behavior.

Just as bad as the ass clowns in the media if you ask me.

+1!

I think it occurred after the USD win, which sucked, but it was two games in. The Gophers could have turned things around. it is not inconceivable for that to happen in college football and as a matter of fact I was hoping they would turn things around so that the 'Mods' would have egg on their face.

By the way, just who are the 'Mods' around here and how do they make decisions?

Yeah. I felt it was premature at best. At least wait till the guy gets officially canned.
