Who should be in the 12 team playoffs?

Maybe a little slap, but the AAC did mess this up by only playing 8 conference games which led to a 5 way tie for second place. If they play 9 conference games, there most likely would have been fewer ties and a better chance Miami gets into the conference championship game.

Then the scenario could have been if Miami wins, they count as one of the conference champions, leaving a slot for Notre Dame.
Great point - the number of conference games should be uniform across the P4. Total no-brainer

Not having a power 4 conference champion in the playoff sets a dangerous precedent and devalues the hell out of conference championship games. Duke isn't great - but they did what they needed to do. Slap in the face to the ACC if you ask me.

The ACC and Big 12 for sure would be better off not holding a conference championship. Virginia would have made it. It's possible BYU makes it. There were rumors that the SEC gave some stern warnings this year that if Alabama were to be snubbed (or Ole Miss for losing its coach) they would blow things up.

Blow things up? Like they haven't already done that - comical
