Thought I'd give this a bump - this is what it looks like 48 hours before signing day:

Notre Dame 14 5.76%
USC 94 38.68%
Florida 4 1.65%
Ohio State 34 13.99%
Minnesota 74 30.45%
Iowa 14 5.76%
Oklahoma 2 0.82%
Miami 5 2.06%
Other (please specify) 2 0.82%

MN is now at 32%+ - I am surprised, but hopeful...

Some OSU tool posted this on scout but there is no proof to what the author is saying. Does anyone know if this site has any credibility?

They're also reporting as fact that Pitt will publicly announce their membership to the Big 10 on February 4th. It seems they report rumor as fact and are probably correct half the time.

Can 18 yr olds sign up for the NFL ala Eric Swann for Phoenix Cards years ago? I wonder if Seantrel could just skip college and a pro team would take him.

No. One must be three years removed from high school to play in the NFL.

Eric Swann was not 18 when he entered the draft, and did not skip college intentionally, but was rather deemed ineligible. Rather than go the JuCo route, he played semi-pro ball before entering the NFL draft.

The early entry rules have been around in various iterations basically since the NFL began. Decades ago, they used to have a "futures" draft in which you could select underclassmen and retain their rights until they graduated, at which point they had to play for you. But they did away with this at the NFL/AFL merger, and formalized the "3 years out" rule that has been in existence ever since.

We have some die-hard Gopher fans here!

Just one hour into signing day, the vote is a dead tie between USC and the U:

Notre Dame 14 5.11%
USC 94 34.31%
Florida 4 1.46%
Ohio State 42 15.33%
Minnesota 94 34.31%
Iowa 14 5.11%
Oklahoma 3 1.09%
Miami 7 2.55%
Other (please specify) 2 0.73%

I'm still going with USC, with OSU a close 2nd. Unless the Henderson's were just leading us astray, and really want to stay in their home state. In which case, I would not hold a grudge at all for misleading us, lol. ;)

Very tough call. USC or OSU seem the likely choice, with Minnesota as the sleeper. Any other school would surprise me.

Just like GL said with Bryce McNeal. Without the homers, most of knew what the result was gonna be.

What do I win if I end up being correct? I voted "other"

Haha - how about this, if he ends up at an "other" from NDSU to an MCTC, I'll buy you a beer! You were one of the 2 people out of almost 300 that guessed that (and I'm taking your word on this) - so you deserve something!
