Seeing it's a month before signing day, I thought it would be interesting to post this poll now, and look back at it in February after he commits.

I would be shocked if he didn't pick USC. The whole official visits thing and the fact that I genuinely believe that it is probably his best decision (for his future), I think USC is a no-brainer.

*before I get bashed, I really hope he picks the Gophers.

I'd like to preface this by saying - I have no insider information on this, only pure opinion...SH is not like other recruits that I have talked to a lot and have told me off the record info. With that being said, my guess would be USC too...but I'm with you, I would love, more than anything, to see him in maroon and gold. I've never hoped to be more wrong about a prediction!

GL -

I am in the exact same boat as you. I have no insider info, but I have had some minor interractions with this kid and his family. My impression is that he is one of the most level-headed young men i've heard about and he has handled this entire recruiting situation as good if not better than anyone I could imagine. I don't think (like other kids) he would be rushing to USC for the supposed glitz and glamour of it all, I really think it could be the best place for him to develop as a player (and I think his father and him knows it). I have heard some grumblings from this board and someone who I know is close to him (again, no inside info), but I have definitely gotten the impression the Henderson's are impressed with the Brewster (especially Seantrel's mom), but again, when push comes to shove, i'll be shocked if it isn't USC.

USC in a vote where the gut feeling is MN but it is just too logical to think he would go elsewhere. my instincts are that I am wrong and he will choose the gophs in a huge victory for brew and start a positive momentum swing for the Goofers so hopefully im not just being a hopeful homer.

USC?

There is a lot of evidence that USC mostly just "features" talent for the California audience, rather than foster it. In some cases it's pretty obvious they even squander talent.

There are 42 USC Trojans in the NFL this year. This looks good for them (it might even be the most in the NFL). Just for the sake of comparision, 18 Gophers cashed NFL checks this year.

But USC's ability to grow talent comes into question when one considers the huge number of blue-chip recruits that have played at USC over that time. For instance, from 2002-2004 Minnesota had only two 4* recruits. In this time, USC had 41 guys that were 4*+.

Considering this shockingly poor ratio of blue-chip recruits/ NFL players, it's not surprising to see an extremely talented 5* recruit like Reggie Bush playing behind 2 guys who were not very highly recruited and went to a D-1 school in their home states (Arizona and Illinois).

agree

If he shuns the Gophers, I hope he doesn't go with the Hogeyes or even Wisky. Other than that, I don't have any interest where he ends up.

Notre Dame or so says

a good friend of mine who played BB there under Digger Phelps and is what you would call a "subway alumni". He thinks he has already told the coaches at Dame.

I chose --

Minnesota because of Tubby Smith. SH has stated that he likes Basketball better than football and would choose theNBA before the NFL.

Tubby has been in the recruiting act and per a quote has been "very cooperative".

Maybe just wishful thinking but -- lets wait and see.

Ohio State or USC. Lots of talk from the national folks about those two schools w/ him.

Going to vote for Iowa. Hawkeyes have talent for developing offensive lineman. One of Seantral's favorite foods is "corn."

Kid wants to play b-ball and Tubby will let him. He will stay home.

he is an honest kid

And smart. I think he wants to come here. I think there could be some pressure for him to go elsewhere to get away from some distractions maybe. But I believe Brew is working hard to take the distraction issues if any out of the equation. I believe he would have committed last fall but made a promise to his family that he would take in all offers and make the decision on signing day.
Despite all the reasons people dream up to the contrary, he could go to a MAC school and it would have zero to do with his NFL career if one occurs. He is about picking ther best opportunity to build a sound foundation for himself which will benefit him no matter what happens after college ball. Minnesota would then be his pick. (Notre dame lovers relax, we all know its the best education on the planet).

If you are good the NFL will find you. Minnesota is big enough program in a big time conference and he already has a following so they will be watching. Even Mike Morris made it to the NFL from some little school in Iowa!

His NFL prospect will totally depend upon how he plays in college. In the Big Ten he will go up against some of the better defenses in the country.

It all depends on where he feels comfortable and feels at home. Remeber Big Guy, Minnnesota is home.

This is one of the best posts I've read on this board.

30% of G-Holers honestly think that we will land Seantrel?

We're going to have a ton of disappointed people come early Feb...

It was nice to see the video of Seantrel and Jimmy Gjere in the one on one drills today at the All America game practices. The level of competition there is definitely impressive.

I wish he'd stay close to home.......but something keeps pulling him to the bright lights.....

U$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$C

Notre Dame

For some reason I think he's going to ND. I think everyone realizes that he's not going here. It seems like a tradition in MN that the top recruit goes else where. We all want him to come here but it's not going to happen.

SH commit school

I think he will do a last minute reversal and commit to the Gophers. Honest!

Seriously. Delusion at its finest.

Gotta love the Hole when you need a "reality" check. I think it's coming down to USC and tOSU and I think the sweater vest is gonna get him.

In a thread in which every one is guessing, people are calling people out for guessing/hoping for the home team.

Cool post(s) bro(s).
