What is an acceptable expectation for a Gopher Men’s Basketball Head Coach?

All this board ever talks about is the coach. And getting a new coach.

It's totally delusional in here.
I'm going out on a limb and surmising you never actually played organized basketball let alone coached a team.

Anyone that has played even moderately competitive basketball can see this team has no identity, struggles with fundamentals and routinely lacks situational awareness. If it was truly money dependent, I should still see a team that plays structured, fundamentally sound basketball. They might lose more than they win, but it is due to the opponents having superior talent, not because we play like discombobulated doofuses.

Whenever organizations are systemically dysfunctional, it is almost always a leadership issue, hands down. The majority of people who leave their jobs are because of bad managers. Getting more money to get out of a bad situation is just icing on the cake. But it gets reported as leaving for more money so piss-poor leaders don't have to face the fact that they suck.

Ben is not a head coach. Period. This is very similar to the Brewster era in football.

You’re a visionary! Coaches are just bloated middlemen who add no value, so eliminate them, take the millions for the coaches’ salaries and put the money into a pool for NIL to get the best players, who can then coach themselves. It’ll be like a driverless car, or one of those HassleLess Mattress stores without sales people.
Serious question:

Pay ME an average Big Ten salary of $4M...but get out of my way.

VS

Bring any coach in the world of your choice...on Ben's player budget.

Who does better?

Can I just go with have an identity on the court? Like we’ll be up and down and may not always be good, but I would like to have a team that’s known for something, recruits to it, and executes it on the court
This 1000%
What is CBJs program known for?
Dumpster dive the transfer portal (we will take ANYBODY)
Bricklayers from 3pt and free throws
Soft on Defense

How about having a coach that some team might want?
Doe the hose that are stuck on lack of NIL, name a play other than Garcia might be wanted by another B10 program and earned to get paid.
Ben has shown in 4 years that he is in way over his head on roster construction, strategy and game management
