Just for fun, I'm picking thursday night games.

I'm going way out on a limb and picking:
Coastal over Akranslas State
Howstun over Twolane

Coastal offense is fun to watch and different. Curious who eventually nabs that coach

55, 52, 41, 52, 59.

Arkansas State’s last 5 games points allowed. Let that sink in a minute.

That league is weak. CC has a very high chance of winning out . . . and almost no chance of making the CFP.

Curious to watch a few of these.

I don't know what the line is on Alabama at A&M, but take Alabama.

What does anything you say have to do with anything I said?

I'd take Jamey Chadwell -- I think he'd view us as more of a stepping stone than Fleck -- but he's a great offensive mind

wisconsin at Illinois - I Like the little w

A long shot but definitely worth watching the game for awhile to see how it develops. That's not impossible, of course. Illinois pulled that off two years ago when Wisconsin had a better team than they appear to have right now. I had that game on the TV at the time but barely paid attention until IL had a big comeback and appeared to have a fair shot of winning. Won it 24-23 with a field goal as time expired.

Really looking forward to Iowa vs. Penn State and Michigan vs. Nebraska. Should learn a lot about all 4 of those teams as we are hitting the point in the season where you can finally start to really get a good feel on how good teams actually are.

If Illinois can find a way to hit on a couple of big plays they have a shot. They won't be able to grind it out against that Wisconsin defense, but if they can put some points on the board the Wisconsin offense is very very very suspect.

Pulling for Franklin. Penn State can play offense and defense. It could be close, game at Kinnick, but have to think Iowa’s Cinderella season hits a speed bump.

I actually think they’re (incl. Chadwell) fun to watch, too. I have them in the college football pool I’m in, and they’re doing very well for me. My point is, we’ve seen this movie before. Unknown coach (w/ mullet this year, to boot) who devises or dials up a “new” offense, gets anointed, etc.. They do get snapped up by another school, and get paid, but ultimately find the opposing coaching, schemes, budgets, a lot harder to overcome, and the path steeper and more hazardous.

Obviously my opinion, but If he were a stock, I wouldn’t buy as a long-term investment.

As the Max Mercy character says to Roy Hobbs in the movie “The Natural”: “They come and they go, Hobbs. They come and they go.”

Anybody watching ASU-Stanford? I like the ASU unis. The Gophs would look good in that scheme. Maroon-maroon-maroon. They probably already had them recently, but I just thought ASU's unis are sweet. Nice lids too.

Yep! Interesting sequence of plays by their offense early in the second quarter. Reverse (fake double reverse with a pass. Followed by double reverse for a nice 30 yard Td run. Agree the matching pants and jersey in maroon is legit too

Jason Benetti is hard to listen to when he tries to be funny. He is not…sounds cringe and somehow just sounds smug. Does just fine when he plays the straight BPB role.

ASU should not be ranked, and are an average team at best.

Thet may go bowling, but I would tease the line today, and take them losing on the ML right now.

I expected a closer game and thought Stanford would win. ASU is better than I thought. They are making Stanford look slow.

I wish I could take Illinois +11 to upset wisconsin today but I can't bet the game. IL residents are barred from betting any college teams based in the state including Illinois and Northwestern.

I think the Illini may win outright.

Wow. Texas, 1st offensive play touchdown.

Rutgers draws first blood in their game with Michigan State, 7-0.

Rutgers also has a wildcat specialist QB.
