Week 11 Other Games Thread

Utah about to go up 14-0.....Ute dude drops ball a foot before he goes into the end zone after 79 yard run...he celebrates....Oregon dude picks it up and goes back 99 yards the other way. 7-7. Wow!
There is no way he thought he was already in the end zone, which leads me to believe he was trying to hot dog it. Good for him.

How many times do we have to see this?

Utah guy was just about to go in for a TD and he drops the ball well before he crosses the goal line to celebrate. Oregon picks it up and returns it the other way for a TD. Should be 14-0 Utah, instead it is 7-7.

Why guys continue to do this is beyond me. In this case, he was not even close to crossing the goal line. Dropped it at the 2. If I'm a coach, I'd make guys hand the ball to the ref or at least get 5 yards into the end zone before dropping it. I'd even practice it. I think KJ Maye on his TD dropped the ball shortly after he got in today. He scored, but it was close.

Maybe I'm being a homer, but Ohio St being up double digits against MSU actually makes me feel a little better about Nebraska considering MSU pretty much curb stomped Nebraska for 3 quarters.

Again, maybe that is a bit of a stretch to make, but it makes me feel good. lol

Who does everyone want to win? MSU or OSU?

I'm pulling OSU even though I really like MSU. I'd rather have OSU fat and happy and potentially overlooking us, than have them coming off a loss and desperate.

Nebraska can be beat as long as Abdullah is contained. Armstrong is just so-so and can't beat good teams by himself. It'll be a tough game but I think we'll have a shot.

The other thing that blows my mind is how players continue to jump in the air to celebrate.

Agreed. Fat and happy. Overlook city.

11-1 TCU vs 11-1 Baylor would not be a fun playoff decision.

Kinda hoping MSU wins myself. I would guess both teams have their eye on the playoff right now. The loser of this game probably isn't going to the playoff and probably isn't winning the division, and this isn't winning the Big Ten. I like seeing teams other than the traditional Big Ten powerhouses win. Plus, I'm hoping that an Ohio State loss would demoralize them and break their spirit before playing the Gophers. I know that losing could "piss them off," but if they lose this game, I think they basically go from playing for a playoff berth/Big Ten championship/national championshipto playing for a Citrus Bowl bid, which I'm guessing isn't what they were looking for going into this season.

Gophers are going to get a very highly ranked team next week. Should be a heck of an environment. We should ask to move it to a night game.

Give the decision makers Golden Shower's wife for an hour and I think they might change their minds.

Hoping for a nice 4-5 minute scoring drive from LSU to hand Alabama their 2nd loss although I guess I wouldn't mind seeing an overtime game either.

Basically I don't think Ohio State will have anything to play for if they lose tonight, whereas they will still be highly motivated if they win.

They will have as much to play for as us.

Valid point. But I don't think Ohio State will quit. They have too much pride to give up on a season.

Best case scenario is J.T. sprains his thumb in the 4th quarter. Something nice and minor that keeps him out for 8 days. Lol

An LSU win would leave undefeated Mississippi State as the only SEC team with fewer than 2 losses.

If they lost, maybe they aren't motivated.

If they win, I don't think there's a guy on the team that thinks Minnesota can beat 'em. (maybe that's a positive)

And LSU would probably jump to number 2 in the poll. Right behind A&M.

Just announced the Red Lobster scholar athlete of the game in LSU-Alabama. He has a 3.0 in Sports Administration.

were going to really need to play our asses off next week...

Oregon scores on very next drive.

Shoulda been 14-0 Utah....now 14-7 Oregon. Utah QB now hurt and Oregon has ball.

Yes, but a division title or Outback/Citrus Bowl bid would be a pretty big deal for us. Ohio State wipes their ass with the Outback bowl.

Like last year, Alabama was the favorite to win a national championship going into their final regular season game. They lost that game, and then lost the Sugar Bowl by two touchdowns, despite being favored by 16.5 points. I think it might have been the most lopsided betting line of any bowl game last year. I would guess that when they lost a shot a national title, they didn't care a lot about winning the Sugar Bowl.

I guess I just have a hard time seeing Ohio State lose their shot at winning the division, Big Ten, and national championship and being out for vengeance against Minnesota. Just my opinion, and it looks like it'll be moot anyway.

11-1 TCU vs 11-1 Baylor would not be a fun playoff decision.

Right now I would give it to TCU. In my mind Baylor's 14 point loss to West Virginia is too damaging even though they beat TCU head to head. It's so hard in football when you only play a team one time - I don't like penalizing a team just because of where the game was played. Since it was extremely close you have to believe that TCU would have won had it been their home game.

I suppose I could also see Ohio State come off a big win and feel like they could beat us just by showing up.

Oregon....three straight TDs in span of 10 minutes after Utah's Desean Jackson moment.

Who feels worse...that receiver or Auburn's center. The center could at least blame it on the noise or on a teammate messing him up.

That's a touchback in the LSU game. Total BS that they ruled him down at the 1.

Wow. Alabama fumbles on the goal line. I love watching Bama choke.

The state college of Ohio hanging half a hundred on MSU.

We go this.
