Week 11 Other Games Thread

What a ridiculous ending. Every other play is getting reviewed it seems like.

I'd have still taken a safety. Can't count on a bad fumble. I'd rather make them drive 50 yards in 90 seconds.

Washington St taking it to Oregon St right now. They are going to win their second Pac 12 game of the year.

I agree, both were okay options. I just knew Auburn could drive 80 yards in 90 seconds no problem. Except they couldn't drive 50 yards in 90 seconds in the actual game.

My prediction, A&M is ranked next week while Auburn drops all the way down to #4.

Now when LSU beats Bama tonight and then Bama beats MSU next week...

LSU beats Bama, Bama beats Miss. State, Ole Miss beats Miss. State?

Glad to see Auburn finally end up on the other side of one of those kind of endings.

Not me. Then a field goal beats you.

Depends how you feel about your defense. A lot of bad things can happen in a two minute drill. That punter got off a great punt. Chances are even Auburn could have started inside the 40 with 90 seconds to score.

I see your guys point though.

I was going to make a similar joke. But I'm actually not sure that is a joke. Unfortunately.

"Just shows how tough the SEC is...an unranked SEC team forces #3 Auburn to fumble twice inside of a minute."

No discussion about how great teams don't choke like that, and maybe they didn't deserve to be #3 in first place.

They just lost at home to a team that lost 59-0 to Bama. While A&M may be a fringe top 25 team, I think we're seeing the SEC East isn't as good as everyone thought.

I think it's a close call. In both cases, you could say Auburn would need to gain about 40 yards to beat them. If you punt like they did, Auburn needs to go 40 yards for a TD, but only had to go about 10-15 for a potential tying FG.

If you take the safety, you figure Auburn gets the ball around the 35 and has to go about 35-40 yards to get into FG range.

It's an unoriginal joke and I'm glad you didn't make it.

Both of these teams would likely win the B1G West with ease.

Don't cite the Indiana - Mizzou game. One game does not make a statement. Our conference has been thoroughly outclassed by them for a decade and things don't change overnight.

I'd argue the 40 yards for a TD is tougher on the offense though since it's more difficult to move the ball once you're in the redzone. It's not an obvious choice though IMO so I understand both sides.

You're making a different argument than the intent of the "joke". The point was that when a low ranked or unranked SEC team beats a high ranked one, the team that won usually moves up a lot more than the one that lost moves down. It does happen a lot. I wouldn't be surprised if A&M moves up 10-15 spots while Auburn moves down just a few spots.

I didn't say they wouldn't win the Big 10 west, Captain Strawman. I suggested they didn't deserve to be #3.

TCU and KState is another eliminator game tonight. Possible a 1 loss TCU and 1 loss Baylor team could both make the playoffs.

I gave it its own thread, as it deserves, but NDSU is about to go down 23-3 to Northern Iowa.

Virginia hanging with Florida St. I had an upset feeling on that one earlier today, but I waited a moment until it passed.

At home against TCU and on the road at Colorado State (8-1)....not sure we envisioned that tough of a two game stretch to open the 2015 season when those were scheduled. Hopefully that CSU coach gets swooped up. Former Alabama coordinator, I remember many were shocked he went to Colorado State when he probably could've gotten a BCS gig.

OSU's offense looks good, it'll be a major challenge for our D. Barrett is impressive.

Who does everyone want to win? MSU or OSU?

11-1 TCU vs 11-1 Baylor would not be a fun playoff decision.

Utah about to go up 14-0.....Ute dude drops ball a foot before he goes into the end zone after 79 yard run...he celebrates....Oregon dude picks it up and goes back 99 yards the other way. 7-7. Wow!

Edit: was going to be a 79 yard pass reception.
