USA TODAY: Dabo has 'zero doubt' football will start on time

Everyone has the right to his opinion, but those who are saying the president did a terrible job and giving just that, their opinion, or that of a "journalist" from there favorite news network. My question is, what could he have done earlier to change your mind? He did put a travel ban on early (and was called racist for doing so). There is a video of Pelosi on the streets of San Fran. telling the public to come out and eat at the Chinese restaurants to prove we are not racist like the president. He worked with the private sector early to ramp up getting test and equipment production ramped up. He listed early that the disease was a concern and monitoring info coming from China. The timing you are complaining about (late January), the left was sooooo concerned that they were trying to drag out a complete joke of an impeachment. And do NOT come with the complete BS that he eliminated some office... he COMBINED them, not eliminate them. Each state could have done something, but didn't. Hell, New York could have prepared better early on (getting ventilators instead of solar panels) but didn't. Louisiana could have stopped mardi gras celebration, but didn't (and blamed Trump..lol). I've grown weary of the complete line of BS coming from the left on the blame game. They have plenty of blame, but offered up NO solutions. Typical, but tiresome. Offer up some tangible proof that he did nothing or could have done something different that would have been better than what he did or STHU!

Everyone in here is giving opinions... you too.

In this case, I'm wary of the opinions of a southern boy who is really, really, really into college football.

Everyone in here is giving opinions... you too.
Thanks for that.. Where was my opinion? I just said I'm tired of the BS without offering up solutions. The video of Pelosi.fact, New York ordering Solar Panels and not ventilators..fact. My point is that all the complaints on the President have been given as though the left offered up solutions, which they didn't...fact.

If you can't find an opinion in your posts ... I'm not sure you even know what opinion means.

PGA, NASCAR, MLS have all announced new event / start dates. I’m feeling pretty good about this fall being on schedule.

If you can't find an opinion in your posts ... I'm not sure you even know what opinion means.
More degrading comments attacking the individual, with no debate, or solutions. Tiring Slab...

I deleted that, as I had sunk to your level, and do not want to do that...

That's not degrading, it seems you're happy to toss out "opinion" at people while somehow declaring yourself opinion free.

That's straight up not knowing a thing.

Ok Slab, tell me where what opinion I freely tossed out?

I'm been called a racist, a homophobe, a xenophobe, a anti-semite, hateful, bigoted, and evil because i even hint at supporting Trump. I'm tired of it.

I yes I know Slab, you didn't call me those things. I'm saying that many on the left demonize Trump and his supporters at any and all costs. Its not helping at all!

Thanks Plato. Not sure this article is the "kill shot" you were hoping for, but I appreciate your effort.

Clemson’s powerful football coach fumbles on coronavirus

Many American college football coaches have been speaking out about the importance of listening to official instructions about the coronavirus and its resulting COVID-19 illness — instructions like washing hands and staying home whenever possible.

Clemson University head coach Dabo Swinney seems to be bucking the trend. Not only has he not released a public service announcement (PSA) asking people to stay home, but he has openly discussed his own vacation travel and plans, as Dennis Dodd described on CBSSports.com:

“The coach also noted that his family has traveled once to Florida via private plane for vacation and may do so [again] for Easter. ‘The plane was sanitized,’ he said. ‘We don’t have any concern.’”
Coach Swinney’s commentary and actions not only put himself and his family at risk, but also all of the people he interacts with in his travels. It is unclear if the coach has followed South Carolina’s recommended two-week quarantine post travel.

He has also put his fans at risk.

Prominent sports figures become figureheads in a new sense in moments of disaster. They are, as known and trusted figures for fans, a voice to be listened to in uncertain times. Other coaches have used this to their and their state’s and university’s advantage, putting out PSAs, tweets, and media interviews calling on people to follow instructions related to COVID-19, including staying home and sheltering in place.

If fans see American college football head coaches and other prominent sports figures following the instructions of universities and local, state, and federal governments, they may be more likely to do so themselves or to feel reassured that other people they recognize are taking their own protective steps. Prominent sports figures can draw attention to key issues in times of disaster. COVID-19 is not the first time college football has been involved in sharing disaster information or disaster responses, and it certainly will not be the last.

If fans see head football coaches refusing to comply with instructions related to COVID-19, they may feel that following these guidelines is less serious or less important than it really is. The words and actions of sports figures matter in times like these.

Go Gophers!!

That seems like a bit much.

Dabo not doing a PSA isn't putting anyone at risk.

And " It is unclear if the coach has followed South Carolina’s recommended two-week quarantine post travel" is way too little to declare that ... he hasn't followed it.

Dabo might be some virus denier under the covers, but until he says it I don't think it is fair to accuse him of it.

When he does then by all means pile on.

In SC the bible counts for a lot more than science does.

All the lefties said Trump was racist and there was nothing to worry about.

You can't find any video of that or anyone to talk about it as usual. Hell, Fauci was even saying a couple of months that everything will be fine.

You can't make this stuff up.

It's all Trump's fault. Think of it like it's never Pitino's fault.

Which science...........the one with 20 genders and killing a baby is not killing a human. There are all sorts of sciences.

In today's world, you have to define the science, sir!

When was Dabo elected President?

Now the discourse has really brought out the Bible Thumpers. Baby killing and slurs about transgender are right from the play book of the Holy Rollers. Next we be seeing that evolution is a myth and if I doubt it go to the Creation Museum in Rabbit Hash, KY where millions have seen a diorama of Adam and Eve walking with dinosaurs. I suspect Goldteam has a lifetime pass there.

I remember when this thread was just talk of big Jesus guy and how our guys are gonna get it up the nose once a day to play but now it's gone Biblical ?

I thought this would get 20 posts max lol
I'm a little surprised too.

Like Dabo might resemble some aspects of the folks whose views are 'a bit off' ....but I didn't think he said anything that matched it quite so much as some folks think.

I thought it would be fun to mick him a bit
Another reason I live college football is coaches like him, Coach O, Miles are true characters - dislike the Gators, but always like Spurrier.

Wow. Someone actually proud to be pro-life and who gives a shit what gender a person chooses. Do you also not believe in evolution, John Scopes??

I'd ask if you have something better to do with your time than worry about other peoples' personal choices, but I've seen your posts for 2 years and, unfortunately, it's clear you do not.

Bawwhhhaaa!!! Priceless. That's a good one. As soon as Kandj came on here and supported Trump (although much of what he said is true from what I have seen but you could find plenty the other way too) I thought oh man, here we go. The lefties are going to go nuts, the righties are going to go nuts and I get to enjoy the show.

Science......there are 2 genders, and a baby is a living human.

Has nothing to do with bible thumpers.

I'm talking science here, sir! You know, SCIENCE.

Refute my science, sir!
