This is more proof that there is some secret board out there because yeah, nobody here is saying anything even remotely close to what the OP is yelling at people about.

But thank goodness there are people like TD12 out there to make sure none of us get any delusions of grandeur after our team finally wins a Big Ten game. God forbid we enjoy the win at all.

Good point. NCAA tournament ain't happening but the team is playing a little better and could potentially climb out of the cellar and qualify for the conference tournament.

Same, no reason we shouldn't be playing for that. How would are season look if we lost again last night? Now that we beat a ranked team, we have to believe these guys are motivated now to go do it again next week

Some posters really need to get over themselves. There are numerous threads specifically for pissing and moaning.....but some of these people really want to be the #1 wet blanket on the board.....and there's a poster literally named @Wet_Blanket_Guy.

It's not going to happen but that would be one hell of a story to go from 0-6 to winning the Big Ten tournament and qualifying for the NCAA tournament.

Go easy. It 's neither a win that will save Ben's job nor a loss that'll much damage Dusty May. In the locker room, both coaches can eye their players and say " tonight your play got you exactly what you deserved."
 





Anybody know who lit the fire under the team when they beat Michigan? Or who got them to drive the lane? Whoever did, I would like to thank that person.

Just because we beat a good team, at home, in overtime, we have to believe the players are motivated to win again. Really? We have to believe?
I am glad their pride caused them to try hard to win, but those bad freethrow shooters are still bad. This win is a once a month anomaly. I have no belief that these kids can make their freethrows and win another game before Washington comes to town.

Yes, I went to UST, but do not go the games now, but may in the future and know people that are all in. I was watching them on the free live stream the first D1 years.. The free steaming is gone, but the occasional FOX 9 Plus DVR recordings that pop up are fun to watch and instructive.. I'd encourage any doubters to watch a few games, then comment further.

My hope was that they would get regional teams like Marquette, Iowa State, Drake, No. Iowa, Creighton or DePaul to play a game or two at the Xcel Energy Center to build the brand (Big East approach) in the early years, but that still could happen. Teams that recruit Minnesota proably would not mind playing here anticpating a win.

Sure the St. Thomas inside size is not great, but they are not facing the 1997 Gopher team and not many physical teams like that exist anymore. Basketball has become more perimeter oriented and that is what UST is good at.

What that would mean for Michigan I do not know, but I would not bet against UST, against the spread at least vs bigger programs (as Marquette Arizona St, Cal and Ok State found out)

The loser, rich and entitled 1 percenter crowd (ARD, a lot of wealthy, entitled NIMBYS) that live west of Cretin Avenue, launched yet another, sure to fail, pathetic legal case to try to stop a building that is not taller than the current campus bulidings and is 70 percent finished!

Whining, pissy, elitist NIMBY neighbors and ARD are going down again.

I guess you haven't heard of the new college basketball crown tournament. FOX has been advertising. 16 teams that don't make the NCAA from the big 10, big east, and big 12 will make up the field. so yeah it's time to get your hopes up. Top 2 teams from the Big 10 that don't make the NCAA get automatic bids!
