Two U employees harassed by Norwood Teague come forward

Yup, all us men are always sexual harassing women. It is sexist to expect men to be ashamed for the actions of a few and to expect and appreciate self loathing empathy just because of their sex. Empathy for anyone experiencing harassment seem quite reasonable . Making all women a collective we or all men seems badly done.I mean who is we, do you represent the female gender? It seems if the victims have received plenty of support and attention. If you think as you call, deflecting attention on a internet message board is some kind of a way of absolving some perceived guilt you got issues.

I agree with Miss Trixie this needs to be about the victims and perpetrator. Teague acted like a pig, it doesn't matter how many other people act like pigs, it's still wrong and unbecoming of a senior University official.

Thank you!

Come on people. No one is downplaying the terrible actions by Teague. Threads/conversations most often take on multiple directions.

Winnepeg made a comment and several people felt that he was wrong.

Honestly, do you have a problem with reading comprehension? Did I, or anyone else say all men are always sexually harassing women? No. If you really think so prove it with a direct quote. And neither did Winnipegopher. Did I say I expect all men to be ashamed? I thought I clearly stated that the only one responsible for this case of harassment is that pig, Norwood Teague. No, I don't represent all women, but I stated I thought women don't blame all men for the bad acts of a few. I will allow that maybe a miniscule number of women may possibly feel that way, so maybe that was a misstatement, but I was trying to let you guys off the hook.

I did say this pathetic discussion is a deflection from the real victims, which it is, but absolutely did not claim you are deflecting to let yourselves off the hook. You were never on the hook to begin with. But I will say this constant back and forth about your lack of guilt makes you all look silly, petty and extremely defensive. And it shouldn't be necessary to say this, but I will, I am not referring to ALL men, but just you louts who are fixating on this topic.

If anyone wants to try to frame me as a bitch, shrew, harpy, feminazi, whatever, to make you feel good about yourselves, have at it.

No, I don't think so...there's really no need.

.Teague and his terrible harassing behavior has been discussed and been the topic and the amount of people defending him and not having empathy for the victims is very low as it should be. Just because a" feeling shame for being a man" type of statement seems stupid to some doesn't mean there isn't agreement about immoral behavior that occurred toward women. Be offended by what matters not some online banter.

I'm not offended, merely pointing out how petty some of of you responders look to me. If the shoe fits...
